Don't mind wearing your heart on your sleeve, etc. Even if occasionally, it get gets him into trouble. Just a pile of mixed messages, rumours, inconsistency and indifference. I appreciate Mounts' faith, but at the moment I find it very difficult to share it.

T'was ever thus.

Be difficult to get back into your job after that. Does the employer get compensation?

Many politicians seem to be more plausible when no longer a politician. RS just the same. A smart fella, who struggled to play the game at the top table. Reminds me a touch of the characters in "first among equals".

If it was on the playing side, then maybe, especially if he had no particular record of managing/coaching. However, it's a role to provide kit, and make sure it's all transported correctly. I've no problem with him getting a mate in, and one with footballing knowledge, to help understand players' needs.

If you're ever that way, try Wilson's in Kearsley. Certainly heartburn potential, but very tasty too. Cottage loaf up Tottington also do a great range of pies, especially varieties of meat ones. Fraser's butchers do the finest meat and potato around. Truly exquisite.

Evatt's plan B! 😁

We need to find and sink these cable cutting mini subs. In fact, just one to have an unfortunate accident. Like those all over Europe.

Then fuck them over privately. Drop/get shut of any one unwilling to pull their weight. Reflect upon his own approach, and ask why they're doing this. Don't simply blame everyone else publicly. It's a sorry state of affairs.

Incredible how generally expensive 'staple' foods are in recent times.

If the stories on the other thread have a factual basis, then maybe some of the youth need to be kept and brought into the fold. Get shut of any senior trouble makers.

They've just appointed city's next manager.

What's the reason he's not here much? Moreover, were such problems were around in previous seasons? If not, then what has happened to cause it? It's his team, and his players. If he's lost their respect, the coaches aren't up to it, or they're bad eggs, them ultimately it still comes down to his decision to bring them in. Where is the analysis etc before players come in? I've no doubt some of them are going through the motions, and maybe he will get shut of some in January, nevertheless he has responsibility over the playing side of things and needs to shape up himself as well. A new manager has a clean slate with players, and if he decides bad eggs need to be got rid of, then so be it. Equally, a new voice may help sort out the situation.

Getting pummelled by the sounds of it. Still in it though bizarrely.

Not heard anyone on the wireless bang on about injuries to any great extent.

He may not displace Schon, but we do need more than one for a position. Williams will have a year left on his contract at the end of the season, and certainly isn't going to get better. If Evatt is getting rid of players in January, as he says, then perhaps he's the sort of player that could be going, possibly on loan. We'll see soon enough.

Isn't that the point though, we're not really bringing lads through either here, or to others for money. I prefer us to have a youth set up, but can understand the clamour not to bother.

He could start with being positive before the match. Instead of bigging up the opposition, perhaps simply acknowledge their talent, but make it into a positive, and opportunity for his players to show how good they are and prove their worth as promotion contenders. Before Birmingham, he laid out the defeat carpet, and dulled down expectation. He's also called them lazy etc and poor in training. Very de-motivating.

Another better the devil you know case? Wonder where this lot get their equipment from?

Don't agree. Better than nowt. Use of titles is a fudge. There are many duties encompassed with an mps role. Yesterday he was a delegate, not a representative? Call it whatever suits, they still ultimately need to fulfil the wish of the people, or they lose seats. It is also the case that many (most) mps aren't trained lawyers, and don't necessarily have the expertise to write bills nor fully interpret them. That's why the state employs specialist lawyers to provide the support. Leadbeater is a case in point with the bill, possibly out of necessity, rushed in design and deliberation initially. Fortunately many who voted for it, have said they won't necessarily vote for it unless it is heavily amended and tidied up at committee stage. She even had to correct the record during the debate for falsely claiming that the judiciary was fully behind it. There are also concerning references that mean certain powers within it will he at the discretion of ministers, and not Parliament as a whole. On such a sensitive issue that could be a big risk. Despite all these problems, it is perfectly reasonable to take soundings from the public, and then have a subsequent period of study and scrutiny.

Based on Evatt's comments when he was loaned out, I don't think that's the case. And if it is, then it's another slap in the face for our youth set up.
-
Not considering he's on a three year deal. It wouldn't give us much to get in a decent replacement, ready to drop straight into the team. Also remember, they're top of the league. For an integral part of that team, with the potential financial bonus of championship football, they surely would have to pay more.

Brings back memories does that photo.
