Oooooh that would have been a cracker for Burstow. Kenny also finding his groove

Said to my neighbour the other day that I wouldn't mind seeing these two together for a while in a game, and see how they link up.

Dalby has done a lot of heavy lifting recently, and perhaps easing his workload before the play offs would be beneficial.

His defensive quality is vastly underrated - I don’t think I’ve seen a player for us that can regain the ball so quickly or get back to a player so fast.

There are a few times where he’s running with the ball, loses it but then manages to change his momentum and get back to the ball before their player has had chance to even have a touch. He stops attacks, he stops crosses and Tutu looks twice the player with him in front of him.

Gale seems to be better when ACD plays.

A bit of a buddy maybe?

The defending aspect helping the fullback could also a factor on the other side..

I know someone who has lived abroad for 20 odd years. Has a couple of kids born out of this country.

Doesn't pay tax here or in the country he lives in.

Kids are looking to come to university over here and was he bemoaning the fact that they'd have to pay international student fees.

How many times have you told him to get fucked? 😀

  4. Someone earlier, or on another thread, mentioned that Philips is a good player.

A very similar comment to that used about EE.

Like EE he has been sent off, against us, at our place.

Have we entered the twilight zone?

    Are we good again? #bwfc

Only if we see this one out, and win the next six games.

I'd like to see us keep at them early second half and not drop off.

Get another goal or two, then we can rest ACD, Kenny etc.

There's an argument that people retiring overseas should actually get an increased pension, but lose access to the NHS etc ie you now live overseas, you don't get to come back for free health care.

I think I could support that and also scrap the triple lock.

Foreigners have access to the NHS, and the cost is rairly claimed back by the service, which it should be.

You could hardly operate on the current basis, yet treat our own citizens differently.

Nevertheless, I think you are right in general- unless living here and paying tax, then insurance for anyone visiting and requiring treatment.

The triple lock was a reasonable idea at the time, to slowly increase state pension as it was very low compared to others in Europe. Done in a way to make it more affordable over time, rather than in one big jump

May well still be low in comparison.

Nevertheless, it should be at least paused now to get spending down, but only in conjunction with reducing the overall benefits bill.

    Love this guy

    Absolutely.

Seen one or two of his things before.

    Proper dog whisperer.

I was watching one of these American police chase jobs the other day, and a cunt stabbed a police dog.

It came back whimpering and struggling to walk.

Touch and go as paramedics fought to save it, as it was bleeding out.

Both it's handler and his colleague were deeply upset.

I was welling up, routing for the thing.

Fortunately, another police dog had "donated" blood, and it was saved.

Made the press, and the dog was inundated with treats and toys from the public.

Under the circumstances, I was surprised that the officer had released the dog, as the cunt was trapped on the stairs of a house he had broken into, and it didn't seem necessary.

In the end the saving grace was that the "perp" didn’t get to see the bottom of the stairs, as he ended up like a colander.

Quotes from SS in the paper today about not wanting to play 5-3-2. Basically says we didn't create enough when we've tried it and we're at our best playing wingers.

Which I think is fair enough when one of those wingers is ACD, less so when it comes to the others.

Yet, we were more solid, didn't concede many, and got points.

    Makes you think. 🤔

    The talks started years ago

They keep getting interrupted by Israel and the US backing out of agreements and bombing the shit out of Iran

Agreements that Iran wasn't sticking too nether.

Whilst continually funding and conducting terrorism, either directly or via proxies.

Trump is a cunt, but by the fuck it is remarkable how many seem happy to turn a blind eye to it all, and just lay blame in one direction.

When those who have been oppressed over there are delighting in the action, then maybe it's not so bad after all.

Just like Hungary, and its move away from potential dictatorship and tyranny, Iran's people was their own freedom.

If your dad posted stuff like the Jesus nonsense you'd have him put in a home

As a one off, I'd have laughed.

It isn't that difficult to distinguish between a sense of humour, and some deranged twat repeatedly posting utter guff, and getting worse.

I guess some are so ultra-competitive that they cant switch it off . Gary Speed nearly decapitated Ivan Campo in training . Campo had to wear a face brace for a few months after .

I can understand that, it's what makes them winners. That will always be a risk.

BSA had the training load reduced to avoid general fatigue and related injuries though.

Remember when everyone was losing their shit because Biden walked the wrong way off stage and tripped on some stairs?

Plenty losing their shit now at this moron.

Unfortunately, he has quite a while to go.

Surely someone (medical) will step up and declare the cunt unfit for office.

  14. Presumably, this is reference to his parents.

As things stand, irrespective of the ECHR, I'm fairly sure we can't deport someone if they've not committed an offence.

Unless I've missed something, his parents haven't.

Perhaps that shows the need for changes to our laws, such that wider circumstances around certain situations are taken into consideration.

As for AR himself, he isn't going to be un-radicalised, and is a terrorist, so perhaps he does need a visit to a volcano.

True, it's never any stronger or weaker from one year to the next really. It is consistently a shit standard though

    Shit compared to what though?

    The leagues above?

For me, the standard in these leagues is now higher than it was decades ago when we were bumming around them.

I just think we were spoiled by the BSA years, and sometimes forget we're in division three.

Not the dosser scum currently downstairs in A&E clogging the system up with infected injection sites :(

Why are Simons and Erhahon tackling each other so strongly in training at this stage of the season that it causes them both to miss several games?

Surely at this stage of the season all training should be keepy uppies and football volleyball with the odd game of wiff waff.

    Yep.

I'm convinced this has been part of our problems over recent seasons.

Injuries and fatigue are evident, so why are they going at it like this.

Big Sam was revolutionary in his approach to protecting players, yet it seems that it hasn't necessarily caught on.

Yes and the twitchiest of all should be Schumachers because failure this season in such a weak league should result in a big fat goodbye.

Another reference to the league being weak.

We hear it every season, so by now it must be non-league standard.

For me, there is no evidence for it being weaker at all.

It's simply that we haven't been good enough to compete with those at the top each season.

You’ve saved 40% tax on your pension contributions, but only get taxed at 20% when you take it out. So you’re getting a tax break by paying a lower rate of tax on your earnings.

My brother works in the public sector. He’s not on a defined benefit scheme. He won’t be able to retire in his 50s. Their pensions schemes have changed materially in recent years (to their detriment).

People who earn more pay more. It’s been that way for decades. Trying to avoid paying taxes will only make public service worse. But then I guess it won’t matter if you move and live in the EU (despite you despising the EU).

Wealthy person in wanting to avoid paying tax shocker.

He would pay 40% percent tax if his pension was big enough though.

As for your general comments, he would pay the requisite taxation of whichever nation he was in.

If that's a lower amount than here, but services are worse then that's the rub, and a decision for any individual in that situation.

What isn't debatable, is that services have got worse, whilst taxation has gone up.
