I think that’s rain , or the after rain smell
might be the same word though ?
No; you're correct about the rain on a warm surface.
Don't know if there is a word for freshly cut grass smell.

And Randall Williams
Aye, was trying to ignore that fact! 😂
Probably get into the playoffs.
And to think, we've done the double over them.

he wasn't signing, then got injured, then signed.
Ta.
Did we change the terms of the deal, given he'd received a bad knock?

I am glad they've equalised United's total because it irked that they had won it the most. But that's as far as it goes for me.
Not arsed one bit, either way.
Cup semis more of an interest.

Is that true, re Johnston?
There were suggestions Stoke were having a look, but he got his bad injury.
For him to have been running it down, it would mean we have since given him a new contract. We might have, but I don't recall it.

Poetic
Indeed.
Written quite a few over the years.
Watching the semi final at the moment though, and it's enough to quash any musings.

Dull first half.
Forest seem awestruck by the occasion.
Struggling for possession and some poor body language.
City so much in control that they could lose focus and cop for an unexpected equaliser.
Hopefully Forest come out in a different mood.

It's not a stretch at all.
Absolutely.
Seems fairly obvious.

I'd be a touch surprised if Desmond goes.
SS has commented about his inconsistency before, but also about his talent. Quite a regular too.
He is also a wide man, which the manager has said he wants to use more next season.

Too easily led?
Too easily said.
People will believe what they want. That's precisely what politicians utilise in their comments.
Failure to deliver is after such comments is what they're judged on.

Also all the bugs and little beasties. Ripping up a lawn and putting in plastic grass should have planning permission or just banned.
Unless regular maintenance is undertaken they're not much cop anyway.
Dust and leaf mould starts to form a layer of soil inside it, and the beasties will move in. They just have to tolerate the microplastics.

Bit concerning having these former Bury players managing us!

My concern is that, after an initial new-manager bounce the wheels came off well & truly and Schu returned to his own version of Evatt-ball. Or maybe they players did.
With the inevitable outcome.
I want(ed) Schu-ball to be different. Here's hoping for next season.
I watched Palace yesterday and it was a breath of fresh air. Another level, I appreciate,, but such positivity.
Must admit, I was a bit surprised we didn't go 4 at the back more often.
I find it hard to believe that our centre halves can only play in a three- I reckon they've all played in a two at some point in their professional career.
Water under the bridge now.

Think it might take more than a few games for new players/system to take effect.Hopefully the fans stick with SS and give him and hopefully a very much changed team a chance to gel
Probably, but as a fan you can usually see where it's heading, even if not straight at it.
So long as there are positive signs, then fans will stick with him.

He's off.
Gonna be a tough 8 hour stroll round London this.
Fuckin protestors twatting about again.
Thankfully, they were dealt with just before the elite runners passed.

We need grass to soak the rain up ffs.
What fucking rain! 🤣
South West has copped for it recently, but we've been swerving the worst of it.
Just enough to keep most plants happy, but some more wouldn't go amiss.
UU will be getting twitchy.
I hate plastic grass too.

If he struggles to keep them up or get them promoted again I'm sure they'll look elsewhere
But with all the promotions under his belt it can't be said he's not a good manager
And in terms of where they were when he came in, their ambitions, and where they want to be, right now, everyone at Wrexham loves him
And rightly so
We've been through all this previously.
Proved himself early doors, but he definitely had the advantage of a superior squad with us, and also with Wrexham.
Certificate did well with what he had to work with, and no argument there.
I'm not so sure he would have done what Evatt did with us though; from absolutely fuck all-not a pot to piss in- to challenging at the top of league one.
All supposition anyway, we can never know.

Managers always piss someone off
No doubt club owners like him better than players do
Hmm, if they're not doing too well next season, I don't think the owners would hesitate at pulling the trigger.
Not sure any owners like a gaffer that much, with the exception of Sharon of course.

It will all depend on recruitment and who leaves until then I will reserve judgement looking forward to a break from football .
Aye.
No point looking around at everyone else.
Reckon most of us still fancied that we'd be there or thereabouts this season, but it didn't happen.
Few games in, and get a flavour for what SS is doing.

Have they? I don't think I've ever seen that, most folk just have good things to say about him, and and he comes across as a good bloke
So what has been exposed as?
He certainly pissed off Wilbraham.
That's the only one I know of though.

I find it amazing how exercised people are getting over the attendees at a funeral.
All this talk of seating arrangements, clothes, meetings; kinell- the bloke's dead.
I'm not a religious person, and the event is only sad and solemn in the same way as anyone's passing would be.
That said, I still consider it with reverence, and bitching about mourners is just sad.
