  1. Ibiza or similar?
  2. They've just won for the first time this season. Ah well at least that cant do that against us now.
  3. Think you might have a point there.
  4. Secure your squeegee.
  5. Batten down your eggs.
  6. Fascinating listening to him talk tactics. Cunt or not its interesting.
  7. He did do well. I had a brief flip through woys career history. He's had numerous jobs and garnered a great deal of experience. Never stayed for particularly long which is clever. Show some promise and achieve some success. Then move on, and gradually work your way upwards. Mourinho does similar. Fair enough, but being able to achieve success then keep achieving it, reinventing teams over a prolonged period of time at one club is something else.
  8. My brother went to new Orleans many years ago and loved it. Not sure if its the same after Katrina though. Not right bothered by big cities; would love to go more up north for the "fall". Colours are incredible.
  9. Been looking on lightningmaps to see if anything near here. East Anglia is full of storms. A big fucker been in kings lynn, now in Norwich heading east.... Make it a badger and a couple of adders.
  10. Can someone in the know answer this? Can we sign players (free obviously) but offer them, a bonus or some such, that allows us to pay them a lump sum once the embargo is lifted, by means of compensation for low initial wages. Deferred salary if you will.
  11. This former arsenal bloke? God knows!
  12. Thankyou. He would have come with a huge price tag too. Big name, funded with big money. Incomparable for me.
  13. No need to has he. In a different set of circumstances who knows. Not saying Sam will with us, can only go off comments made to me, and reading/listening to him over the years. As mounts has said something similar to what I was told, I found it interesting. It may well be something and nowt, probably is, but arguing that he will definitely not be back in some form or other, is a bit daft. Unless of course you are BSA, know him or are married to him, in which case I'll accept that nothing's doing.
  14. Thunder and lightning down sweep's way. What's he been up to?
  15. You maybe right. But when a lot of folk say it, many of whom have been watching for many years there may be something to it. I've not seen much so far this season, so can only go off posts on here, and personal testimonies. Discussing palace an the other thread- they were excellent against Burnley and lost. Certainly didn't lack confidence and played very well.
  16. Agree with that, he is indeed a family man. I don't know him personally, but I have a neighbour who is a friend of his and knows him well. He seems to think Sam loves the club. I see a similar thing with lineker and Leicester. Didn't let his love of the club hinder his career, few do, but they don't forget either. Anyway, I guess we'll see in the months to come.
  17. And huge bush fires and droughts... Cars stuck in floods in bury though. Can't win.
  18. Indeed we do. I know I do at times; sometimes I'll see an old post and think "why did I write that"?
  19. Not sure that's any better.
  20. I expected a bit more confidence amongst the players, didn't expect anything but a struggle, but after last years promotion, I'm a bit surprised by the number of comments after games saying we seemed to lack heart and effort. For me being fairly well organised and team spirit were the cornerstones of promotion.
  21. Might be worth a punt on them being relegated, if they appoint Dougie, then the odds will drop.
  22. I know where you're coming from mate, but I'd have anyone who could help. He's a cunt, but our cunt sort of thing.
  23. You're rigbt he isn't. I doubt very much he'd want to buy us- on his own; but with partners/consortium may be different. The clubs in his blood, and it wouldn't cost that much to buy relatively speaking. Doesn't necessarily need mega deep pockets to fund the club as ken has done so much to reduce costs. As ken has asserted already, he's willing to sell on to a serious bidder, would need someone with confidence that the club can stabilise, and maybe there's an opportunity. As said elsewhere, a lot of that will depend on our position further down the line. Wouldn't be a great surprise if he was to be involved in some way.
  24. How do you know he couldn't? It was a bit of a jocular comment based around our parlous financial state, however if you're taking it seriously then unless you have access to his finances, you don't know either way. Kinell given everyone's assertion that he's a greedy cunt he may have millions stashed away.
  25. That's excellent. Given the forecast for tomorrow night, it may be useful to use the keeper with the longest kick. McDonagh revisited.
