It's called leadership. Impossible to placate everyone, and it's not wholly about what is said. But at a time of major discontent a quality bit of p.r. could galvanise support and, as has been suggested, help make the club appear more attractive to potential signings and even investors. Many years ago, when we were in a similar level of shit, our own Sir Nat went on the pitch before the start of a game against Charlton.
