  1. I know what you mean; we'd all love a rich benefactor, but in fairness, if none is forthcoming then he'd do for me with his effective management that has set us on a more sustainable pathway. The six fingered lot up the road, have gradually built without massive funding from some billionaire frittering cash away. Its worked for them, and whilst not all teams will achieve as much success, its an honest rise through hard work and solid financial management.
  2. I agree, though I sometimes think we're a bit pretentious- trying the barca way because its 'good football'. Just play to the strengths of the players; Kane's on fire so if you want to utilise this then get chances created for him.
  3. Still got some growing in my vegi bed. Steamed lightly with a knob of butter. Good stuff. Think I once heard mint can make baby batter better, but not sure.
  4. Think we've just got to wait for the police to gather evidence and decide whether to charge him or not. As it is the ecb have suspended him until further notice, so presumably he isn't going.
  5. In fairness he was there to intercept it as he had previously been forward. It was a great cross, just a pity so few others in the game.
  6. You sound like my missus. Do you not like sweet and sour stuff either? Have to agree about two eggs though; just with pineapple too. Plus there's a health benefit- enzymes in pineapple help break down protein making it easier to digest.
  7. Saw that, is he that good? What's your thoughts on mason crane and not rashid?
  8. Like a chess move that MD.
  9. What do you think it means then- please explain. To borrow one of your phrases. Surely even for a contrary bugger, its an easy phrase to understand.
  10. One decent cross in from an overlapping full back and its in the net.
  11. Resilience of business. Was a fairly simple sentence. You don't have to believe it cheese, that's your choice, but if he does go further you'll keep on with your usually tack. Get some fuckin bacon down you, and chill the fuck out.
  12. That's a fair point; there is undoubtedly a lot of part time/lower paid stuff, but its better than no jobs I suppose. Hopefully that side of things will improve.
  13. Sadly, it seems the norm the knock anyone in authority. Media focus far more on image and superficial nothings than anything else.
  14. We'll get embarrassed again at the world cup.
  15. Fucking dreadful. Kane's hardly moving, trotting around in a narrow channel. No supply to him. Only width is from a fella continually coming back inside on his good foot. Sterling his usual headless chicken self. Ox anonymous. Walker and Bertrand no overlapping/crossing. It really is crap.
  16. Wheat beer is highly disagreeable
  17. Ham's salty anyhow. Gammon is also fuckin ace. With pineapple AND eggs.
  18. Its excellent. Decent interview in the bn about it.
  19. He might, but he's 68. Therefore 72/73 come the next election. If he was to win he would be nearer to 80 by the time the term finished. Not quite so sure, if Tories don't sort out a good brexit he may well stay, but if things quieten down and progress is made post brexit then his impetus may be lost and the infighting could return. Can't see him hanging around then.
  20. He might have gained more of the Scottish vote, but remember a lot of traditional labour areas were high in terms of out votes. Having got their way, I'm sure plenty went back and voted labour. May not have done if he'd offered another referendum. Anyway, wouldn't surprise me if both parties have new leaders before the next GE. TM isn't overly popular, and corbyn is no spring chicken.
  21. I keep coming to this thread with envy and hope. One day....
  22. I'm sure they'd have done better if they'd had a half decent campaign.
  23. Not a show but caught peter Kay's new warbys advert earlier. Quite funny, even if the product is questionable.
  24. I didn't realise the numbers that were in attendance in those days at gigg lane, nor the number of fans travelling and the whole set up with trains. Seems better than nowadays.
