Neighbour's dog went for its annual jabs/once over. Vet found a lump. Under anaesthetic for scan, vet suggested putting it to sleep straight away as it was big. Owners requested the operation to give it a chance. Spleen and tumour removed, weighed 4.5 kg. Lots of gentle treatment and several weeks later, and lighter, the 'zip' has nearly healed and the ten year old fella is doing great. A positive story.
