  1. In fairness pal, on this occasion he had a point. Like you say that tackle.... Looked every bit a deliberate attempt to hurt the player.
  2. Or he achieved what he wanted and felt it was time to pass the baton on.Not sure about his relationship with trump; after the initial meetings all seems to have gone quiet. Trump has enough issues at home right now.
  3. The missus was at rossendale for a while, they stopped going up bumpy farm tracks and the like to collect bins and there was uproar; a fair number of rural properties and folk going mad having to cart wheelie bins hundreds of yards to have them emptied.
  4. A beautiful, bracing day.
  5. Always feel a good anthemic song is best. Like said above Delilah, YNWA are powerful. We are the one and only wanderers sung ad nauseum for minutes on end can become strangely hypnotic.
  6. Yep, I had precisely the same issues on grass cutting routes. Some chap behind a screen would take the areas of grass on his map and add a few local ones together until he got 20000m2. A day's work. Except that he never went out to look at sites. Eg one site, only 2000m2 was gaited and not accessible with a ride on mower. Had to be done with hand tools and very carefully as they were old folks' gardens. Took almost a full morning. No chance of meeting the day's target after that.
  7. Time to get up with a chain saw
  8. Used to do a bit of running in my teens and early twenties. I was very fit then and it was fairly enjoyable; though when its bastard freezing used to make me a bit hoarse and get a cough. Don't think I really fancy it now- prefer hiking.
  9. In fairness I wouldn't rule it out. My mum went on a Baltic cruise a few years back and really enjoyed it. As long as sufficient time in port to see places then OK. Would prefer to wait until such time as could have at least three or four weeks to get the best.
  10. They're are fairly cosseted bunch. True they have to work in the rain, but that's about it. We had a far shittier job and even with a decent result on the grading review, we still got less. Bins being an essential service though means they get looked after. Not wishing to denegrate their role though, its a tough (ish) job
  11. I'd agree with that. From personal experience of working alongside them though, our binners aren't badly paid and like smiffs said, there are far fewer folk able to play elite football and get the trappings with it.Wages they get are ridiculous, but if people are offering it to them, they're not likely to say no thanks.
  12. Just popped out and thought just this. Very still as well, though wind comes tonight.
  13. Come on the mighty imps. At what point will the commentator/pundit first mention old fashioned/tight/small traditional ground with fans close to the pitch with a proper fa cup feel.
  14. Perhaps European countries should fuck FIFA off and organise their own comp. Invite a few other countries in and start afresh.
  15. Mick- what's the chances of a piece of exploded tyre penetrating a fuel tank? Just curious.
  16. Yes and rightly so. Not sure what you're saying though.
  17. Dark chocolate is good! Less sugar in high cocoa solids stuff.
  18. Can't help feeling that we perhaps could do with backup for Madine. He's not my favourite, but if that's how pp wants to play, and proctor's not up to it, then we could do with cover.
  19. No doubt they're feeling offended. Tosspots
  20. Weather folk were overegging it. By weakened it warms up again and Thursdays snow is still hit and miss- map showed it might turn to rain.
  21. According to pointless tonight they've a higher ranked national football team than Scotland.
  22. Palace don't need the cash like we do, in fact losing prem status would be worse than going out. Sam will probably field another weakened team so still a chance.
  23. Aguero to get sent off again at the macron.
  24. IF we beat palace, pretty sure there'd be no need for them to have more than the south stand.
