  1. Not the best rugby from England but some magnificent defence and a remarkable try saving tackle. Quite tense at times and for me it knocks spots off league. That said I don't watch club rugby so it's difficult to compare completely.
  2. Very interesting last paragraph winchester. The sooner the country acknowledges the fundamental need for a decent sized proportion of the workforce to be undertaking basic hard work; and that it be recognised as acceptable the better.
  3. At least our lot have never walked off the pitch...
  4. Some interesting comments from a minister suggesting they go to a trial at the haig. I'd normally agree with him entirely, but sometimes you can't help feeling that's too good for them.
  5. See the remaining beetles have been captured. Have a long and painful imprisonment.
  6. Opening ceremony was rather impressive
  7. Nowt wrong with em. Probably only one ate the stuff and he'd wazzed it back up in a couple of hours. The rest was precautionary. The twats
  8. Bloody things ate a full Yorkshire brack. Full of raisins etc. All day in the vets; injections to make them sick, then on drips for several hours. £309 for treatment. One expensive cake.
  9. Begs the question, how do you know how much work miamiwhite does on other forums? Miamì, is it you?
  10. Due a win then? Other teams around us have difficult looking games, avoiding defeat and we could still move up. A win would be massive.
  11. As was pointed out on one bulletin, there's absolutely no point in playing music. There's no atmosphere so no matter to transmit sound waves; so nothing to hear. Top effort though.
  12. Not only men either. Showed a letter from some lady aristocrat or other (may have been royalty) it was extreme in its condemention. Latest theory is that she only intended to put a rosette on the horse. Still a stupid bint. Can't campaign much once you've been trampled.
  13. That language status appears to have gone. I was surpraised to learn that a language is not compulsory any more up to gcse.
  14. That's not identifying by nationality though is it. It's a generalised geographical identification. If a chinese person was in Europe we might refer to them as far eastern. Any road, if it floats your boat being European then crack on. Harmless enough I suppose.
  15. They wereally lauding the lady for chucking herself in front of the Kings horse. Daft bint; by all means make your protest but don't endanger others in the process.
  16. Really? Geography is his first choice in his options. Loves it!
  17. That was a thrapping. Watford should have had it sewn up earlier and I thought they'd blown ithe when Chelsea scored. But Watford were very good. That div with the beard is gash.
  18. Another shout out McMafia. Bubbling up nicely.
  19. Not sure where you're going, but check out school buses, some surprising routes. My neighbours lad gets one from bury road up to totty no problem. Sone thing is definitely going right for mine at LL- he came home having played football in pe and scored! He dosent like playing it and always gets picked last so for him to do that and come back pleased as punch is amazing!
  20. Nigel Jemson
  21. Anyone watching it back may have caught the brief comment "a couple of years ago Bolton fans would have gladly packed madines bags for him". A brief bit of balance!
  22. Not bad at volleyball either.
  23. Not doubt about it. The open evening was very good once we'd got away from the wet lettuce's speech. Anyone taking on a head role there has got their work cut out, but there are tales of failing schools in England etc being turned around by inspirational people. I've had dealings with the chap in charge at little lever and I'd have preferred my lad to go there even if they were writing on slate with chalk. Shame really as st Catherines is a state of the artime place with excellent facilities. Little lever is miles away in terms of infrastructure with more kids than it was designed for, but gives a very positive and pleasing impression. Not perfect by any means, but I'm confident he'll do well.
  24. The wally with the brolly is rumoured to be wanted by Leedsh.
  25. Aye. The academy status has led to some investment but its not the be all and end all. The open day we went to there before our lad chose, was great apart from one thing. The head. Shocking public skills and if that's how he manages the school then its no wonder its struggling.
