  1. Surely it wasn't a little whist pie?
  2. Clough will go nap before a £5.3m move to Pablo's lot. 7-2 to the whites
  3. Good performance today. Just hope we don't bat on too long before declaring
  4. Just hope he keeps posting them
  5. Everyone off here chipped in for that.
  6. Rum truffles and roses tonight
  7. Quite true, though we may have no option. If it all goes tits up we might only have kids left. A few games this season might be beneficial for next. A gamble that may have to be taken
  8. No doubt. We have to accept where we are and where we'll be shopping in the future. We need a manager with experience of lower leagues who can rebuild long term. Won't happen though until everything is sorted and NL has gone. As JP has been working with the stiffs, and they are likely to be the nucleus of the team next year, then it might be no bad thing
  9. Would appear to be the case, though perhaps by putting some effort in and performing well, they might actually get a move to another club with a good salary. Carry on as they are and they may be able to walk away but they're not likely to be snapped up on such good money
  10. I reckon a good manager can have a huge impact, in particular with motivation. Unfortunately no seems to be lacking in motivation himself. He looks like he'd be better off packing it in for the good of his health, never mind his career
  11. Looking that way from the confluence earlier was like something from an extreme weather documentary in America. Farm land under the river. Saw the farmer get his tractor out; wasn't sure he would!
  12. It was bad that way a couple of years back. That Archimedes screw hydro electric generator in the river was wrecked. Sounds even worse now though. Reckon we we lucky, nearly went through there in the car
  13. A number of people watching from bridges over the irwell. Fascinating what was flowing down, numerous pallets, tyres, house contents including a fridge and blue chemical barrels.
  14. Should be fine. Radcliffe moor road cleared a while ago. Went down to Moses gate and walked to nob end. The field across the bridge near rock hall is largely under water. Even the canal is overflowing at one point.
  15. M60 at Prestwich solid eastbound. Might be worth checking out for issues after the game
  16. Kinell. The Irwell in Radcliffe is almost to the top of the bridge arches
  17. Loads of rivers up and roads closed in west and north York's. Might be worth checking routes for the return journey
  18. I'm convinced turkey plays its part. If you give some to the dog, you regret it later!
  19. Just been out, Blackshaw brook over the top, decided not to do leverhulme. As in the building? Had my wedding reception there!
  20. Better get the bees busy!
  21. I concur BD. A most pleasing tipple last night
  22. Love coffee creams, no one else does so I get them all. Brill Toffee crisp is rather good.
  23. Compliments of the season to all.
  24. Clough may be worth a little more than others, but not much more. Perhaps selling a couple of high earners for not much might be an alternative. After all, its the wages that are contributing to the weekly losses.
