  1. Spearing substitution changed it. Dobbie for Clough OK. Heskey for Madine would have been fine but we lost a bit of footballing threat with two lumps up front. Danns trotting for their freekick and Heskey took one for the team. Feeney seemed to expect the ball to bounce more. But on the wet pitch it didn't, poor effort really. Clough was far more effective when we played more football second half. Speculative flick one give him nothing
  2. Indeed. Was there a station near by so fans could get off without having to walk so far?
  3. Currently constructing a platform in the loft for the young'uns model railway layout. That's given me an idea!
  4. Going with this now- what I thought was the canal is actually the river. Canal's above this.
  5. I'd imagine the lodge is a feeder to the canal.
  6. Carlos you clearly know far more about this than me, but if, as their web site says, positions will be available for election then this surely represents an opportunity for people independent from them. I guess its up to supporters in general to get involved to try to achieve the best outcome for the club
  7. Aye. Worthy, Walker, Anelka, Ricketts (before his head went). All idle and cost us numerous points. Whatever did we see in them. Anyhow 4-2 to the whites.
  8. So his claim that all employees need to know football is a smoke screen, apart from needing good ball control.
  9. Convinced his treatment of Eva has played a part in this
  10. The missus worked for the Emerson group as middlebrook/Reebok was being built. Didn't take long for them to show their true colours. Lied to her about the role. Paid peanuts and treated her like shit. She soon fucked them off. Hope they're better with BWFC
  11. BASTARD Went to the one at Bolton Gate retail park yesterday and got her a Kenwood food processor. They didn't throw any tickets into the mix.
  12. No more pies being given away
  13. Quality; 'she can't be more dead than already was....'
  14. Quick bit of maths suggests it carries around 180 tonnes of fuel (propellant RP1). Similar to kerosine. A Boeing 747 uses seventy tonnes NY to London.
  15. We'll score three Saturday. Secret weapon being deployed
  16. It could well be that PG has let Ed down. I've been told that PG tended to operate in an autocratic manner, surrounding himself with yes-men. Despite this, his motives were purely for the good of the club, it's the many mistakes an an unwillingness to take advice has cost us. As for spending big whilst in the premiere league, we were hardly likely to say 'no thanks Ed'. Sadly it's gone tits up post relegation. Don't quite understand the personal vilification of folk who tried to do something special for the club; yes its gone badly wrong but it was good while it lasted. We gambled and ultimately lost, irresponsible and reckless- absolutely, but we were happy enough at the time. There will still be a club in one form or another once this gets sorted, and having been to places like Chester, Scarborough, Orient, Carlisle, Dean Court, the Vetch etc in the eighties, it doesn't actually matter what league you're in. So long as there's a team in white shirts there's still something for fans to do on a Saturday
  17. Anyone going to be in the Rufford area in the next few days take note- flood warnings for the lower Douglas region. The wet stuff is heading south!
  18. Charlton were two up at Brighton recently, lost in the end. Their confidence must be as low as ours now. Withstand any pressure after their half time bollocking then have a go. No point sitting back as we can't defend. Having a go might be the best form of defence. If we lose then at least they tried
  19. They've not picked the test team yet have they?
  20. Fuckinell. The possibility of this had crossed my mind previously. Not pleasant when your kid's in school and you realise how vulnerable schools are
  21. You might have something there, hadn't thought of it like that.
  22. I've now decided not to. Unfortunately the punishment for animal cruelty is insufficient. Seems insufficient interest at top level of politics to properly address this issue.
  23. Will the London whites give it a first rendition tonight though?
  24. Sing whilst tanked up. Document(1)Wanderersways shanty.doc
  25. That was some corner!
