Getting mixed up with chlorate.
Swanny, hydroxide doesn't neutralise hypochlorite, they're used together in bleach.
Keep hold of it though. If labelled check the concentration, you may be able to dilute a portion at a time to use as household bleach.
Whatever you do, wear glasses and gloves when handling an old clothes, some fabrics when dyed with sulphur dyes for example, will be bleached when splashed.
Also keep it off your skin.
The neutralising agent for chlorinating products (like bleach) is sodium thiosulphate.
