  1. Was once at a summer fair and was this sign, 'WWF' mugs for sale. Didn't bother looking at them, but thought 'dont mind supporting the world wildlife fund'. Got it home only to find pictures of wrestlers on it.
  2. Wilsons-as good a pie as anywhere. Worth a trip to Kearsley any time
  3. That despite Lineker's attempts to convince people that his single utterance of 'we' as proof of a staunch wanderer
  4. surely lw can help you with that
  5. Finally win the t20 this season?
  6. just discussed this subject on radio five. Joy
  7. Cancel his contract
  8. Aldi looking to open in Breightmet, not so far to go to stock up on cheap chocolate
  9. BBC 4. 8PM tonight. All about asteroids
  10. Spent many an unhappy hour clearing streets of litter. We would have been better employed improving parks, and disposal costs spent on football pitches for example. Too many simpletons cant see that; "me dropping rubbish keeps you in a job" - absolute cunts. Was clearing a back street once when two enforcement officers cruised up putting stickers on wheelie bins. Wouldn't even get out of the car. Lazy cunts, would have been quicker to walk with both sticking them on. Got invited to a meeting later with management to discuss ways of improving litter situation. I piped up just get enforcement officers to wait outside butty shops, paper shops and offies and they'd make a killing. One chips in "where are these shops, tell us and well do something....." Told him to just try any one in Bolton fo a start". There is a sad acceptance of litter throughout society
  11. A very poor support base; if this is in the financial sense then I'd agree. I lost interest in the megson era, big style. First time ever, had been a season ticket holder fo more than 20 years, but started to fall out with football in general. There are plenty in my street alone in the same bracket. Young un is now older and I'm getting the bug back. Trouble is £45 for the two of us to see the wolves match is a dear do. Were still feeling the effects of a recession in this town. A promotion in schools, kids bring a parent for a small fee. Not only enticing a few of the next generation but might get some of the older ones back in. Doesn't matter if they dont/cant afford to come every week. Costs the club nothing to give a few tickets away for seats that would otherwise remain empty
  12. No problems with doing litter louts, but that is an easy target. Serious, serial flytippers getting away with shit day in day out
  13. Surely the marketing bods are monitoring this site for ideas?
  14. like it-would get a lot more next season.
  15. 5-4. Watford are free scoring, we've got a good home record to maintain and Lennyism.
  16. important point there, local government cuts have meant fewer resources for pitches etc. The fa is having to take up the slack but we will see if this materialises
  17. Couple of cricketers singing derogatory england songs
  18. It waa a tongue in cheek comment more aimed at sam's critics, journalists etc. Only the other week he admitted he went more direct to beat hull. He acknowledged that his team didn't cope and was ultimately justifying his own beliefs. Lvg made himself look a right cock. It was piss funny and sam will still be chuckling
  19. How much does a season ticket save you if you bought a matchday ticket each time? Around 4 or 5 games? Just a guess, anyone actually know?
  20. may be wrong, but I seem to remember when we were in the prem our gate receipts were 2-5% of our income. Would a reduction of say a tenner a ticket really be that injurious to the clubs? A few more through the turnstiles would also help
  21. To protect current st holders, give them a discount off next years renewal, or vouchers for cup games
  22. you might if it was 5.1 billion! Not sure what the real situation is, but remember someone being interviewed after the last agreement; said some would bolster top levels, some would drop down
  23. Nl clearly has an attacking philosophy. Will do for me, yes there are different ways of achieving wins, but ultimately blokes in a team want to win, and that means scoring goals. Good stuff
  24. Ess Ay should do well. Hopefully they will beat Australia in the semis then bottle it again in the final against England
  25. what so he's only serving proper ale from now on?
