  1. Hopefully he'll do more good for us by playing for them. Beat Rotherham for a start on Saturday. Not that we'll manage the miracle though.
  2. Fair point. Equally fair though is the fact that he's been keeping the club going for a good while. As has been stated, he could have pulled the plug on spending far sooner. Has to be a cut off point.
  3. Bowling was very poor. Far too many wires and full tosses, not a lot of variation. I know they're inexperienced at international level but no excuse for the first two balls going down leg. Sets the wrong tone. Batting was a little short, need Roy to get a big one and get his confidence back.
  4. There's that many the line can't cope. Needs upgrading to fibre.
  5. Clough's not yet played a season's worth of games. He's arguably been given the saviour tag by both fans and manager, who many times played a formation and tactics hardly likely to get the best out of him. He's not yet matured physically and has suffered injuries. Not long ago plenty said not to big him up too much and rightly so. He's also had to contend with a disinterested number of senior players. All things considered, it's no wonder he goes missing from time to time. I think he shows plenty of promise, just needs a manager with more tactical and man management nouse than the previous one.
  6. Or that JP isn't going to be the future manager.
  7. Out of the three high paid central midfielders, rather pratley and Davies go first. However 100k is a lot of dosh to at the moment.
  8. Don't quite get the DNA thing. Unless there's a record of whose DNA it is, then no point. If you don't pick up then you're hardly likely to volunteer.
  9. Watching all those Saxa ladies
  10. Gary Nevile 25 to 1
  11. He said it was in the process of being paid. Paperwork etc...
  12. Another one announced. A combination of two drugs that can reduce and eliminate some breast cancers in just 11 days! Will reduce need for chemo etc. Wow!
  13. J Dickinson's always professional. Chadwick's. Bury skip hire. Used them all. Get prices, for cash, and compare them size for size. Skips are dear so shop around. If you can get it off road onto your drive do so, cheaper.
  14. You may well be correct, but it's one big assumption, that we'll never know that accuracy of. Similar thing could be said about giving big Sam more funds for Drogba or whoever it was- we may be playing in Europe tonight! We just don't know, and will never do so, so perhaps it's best to move on. Focus frustrations on the next game.
  15. His comments re younger players were interesting. He believed Holding was a captain in waiting and wanted to bring more through. Although he didn't answer the question directly as to whether the current youngsters would be re-signed I get the chance impression that is his intention. Intrigued as to his 'hands on' role. Be interesting how this fits in with the manager.
  16. 5-0 to the whites. Serious takeover bounce, with a boost of NL being unavailable because of a severe cock injury and a black eye.
  17. Haha.I'm sure roses chocolates are made at my mum's. Whenever young un pops down he always comes back loaded. If you tell him not too many, then you get tutted at!
  18. DH already stated that will be quickly sorted. I'm happy enough to accept that, until it is shown otherwise. Personally I wouldn't use the funds he said would be available to bring in a couple of players now, as I think it's too late. Better used for a new manager.
  19. So you propose to have no players? We pay them the same way as any other business. Whether the wages on offer will be accepted fuck knows. SS will have a plan and budget, generally young players will be cheaper. As for senior players still under contract; can't really see them wanting to hang around in league one. Free transfers will allow them opportunity to make up salary short falls elsewhere.
  20. We were under embargo.
  21. It's quite a simple scenario really. SS come in, and offer the ones they want to keep new contracts. The FL I'm sure would be happy with this as no transfer fees involved. Whether they accept new offers is a different matter. The presence of NL may have some bearing on that.
  22. Considering the state of the pitch, the football was decent. Long balls into chest so strikers have a chance, and plenty into feet. Midfielders showing energy and commitment.
  23. Ed said on SSN he believed it would be done by end of week, possibly before the game. Friday seems reasonable. Can't be sure it will be good news though.
