  1. Did we ever get a review of Blue Lights, a Northern Ireland cop drama? Me and MrsD are one and a half series in. It isn’t often she is interested enough to do back to back episodes all night.
  2. Keith Hackett responds: The FA should re-think their crass decision to end replays in the FA Cup. Throughout my active career in officiating I always looked forward to my appointments in The FA Challenge Cup. Football clubs at all levels of the game love their participation and the boost it gives to their finances. The cup often brings in new supporters. I have officiated many FA Cup replays and those games under floodlight are very very special. The FA appear to have failed to recognise fans and their participation and support for the cup which often sees families and local communities involvement, That 100th FA Cup Final Replay played on that Thursday evening is etched in the minds of many people who watched that game. I was just so lucky to be involved. The FA have made a disastrous decision to end replays which will impact n the competition and cannot be right. Professional clubs and their Administrators who may well have influenced this poor decision have large squads and appear to have a lack of understanding of History and Legacy of The FA Cup and the emotion of all participants, The players, the fans, the media. To grassroots clubs like my own this welcome opportunity to play in the competition and earn much needed revenue is a lifeline. Matchday sponsors, ball sponsors. Increased gate revenue, Refreshment sales up etc. Earning that replay against a club higher in the pyramid is a fresh challenge and another revenue stream plus the prize money for a win. Coach companies receiving a boost to their income along with services up and down the motorway. The FA need to revisit this and put the game ahead of their finances. Pity the New Regulator is not in place, May I suggest this rushed decision make fit because this new position will shortly be filled. My choice for that role would be ANDY BURNHAM who would ask the appropriate questions. What are your thoughts?
  3. My point in calling TroySwoosh out on his post was that it was all wishful thinking. If, however, your going to wish for “4-0 with derby losing 1-0” in order to all go into the final game all level, you may as well wish for 8-0 Bolton, Derby lose 4-0 thereby pretty much giving us the promotion with a win or matching the result of Derby v Carlisle.
  4. Poor choice of words, @Stig. Replace ‘was’ with ‘should’ve been’ and it’s back to being correct.
  5. Today, I stand with Tranmere. (But only today!) Hopefully other non-Premier League clubs (and maybe some Prem clubs as well) will also call the FA out on this.
  6. He’ll have phoned Putin on the Kremlin hotline said, “You reckon you’re a cunt? Strap yourself in and watch this!”
  7. So taking advantage of shit officials. Good lord, I'm glad my team aren't like that!
  8. He missed an opportunity to rhyme it with dentures.

    Posh

The tickets are electronic and Peterborough know we have the sales infrastructure to get rid of an extra couple of thousand in minutes if the demand is there. It’s all about the stars aligning though.
  10. I really have no clue why you’d be happy going into last game level with Derby, us playing Peterborough away them playing Carlisle at home.
  11. Oh, you’re going to be in a lot of pain for that if she still lurks.
  12. Who would we all have playing us? Obviously MickyD would be played by George Clooney.
  13. I wonder if they’ll have 6 pallbearers.
  14. Aye, alright! That’ll be very-expensive-vet-speak for “We put the dog in a cage to sober up and he was fine after 12 hours sleeping it off.”
  15. I believe Les Mis wasn’t a hit with the critics yet the audiences love it.
  16. During the Easter break, I enjoyed a couple of nights in London, Thursday to Saturday. On the Thursday we went up to the West End and failed to get tickets for Les Mis. Well, we could’ve got a pair but not for the £200 each they wanted. Anyway, we went next door to the Gielgud Theatre and got a couple of decent seats for £50 each. The musical was Opening Night starring Sheridan Smith. Fucking woeful! Many in our area didn’t return after the interval it was so crap. I decided the second half couldn’t be as bad as the first. I was wrong! What’s the feeling in Theatre Land that it’s been cut short by a couple of months. Is this usual or do they normally persevere?
  17. Remind me of the time he looked out of his depth because I don't recall it.
  18. There are now plenty of licenced bars around the ground. To my knowledge; and I haven’t been for a couple of seasons, the only designated home-only pubs where tickets get checked are Harvester and Whites Hotel. I don’t think places like Nam Ploy could host too many away fans due to number of home fans in there pre and post match but my point is, nobody checks. And more importantly, nobody’s arsed.
  19. No it isn’t. But neither is, “There isn’t an Everton player to pass to so I’ll pass to a Chelsea player instead!”
  20. I’d love to know who he was bollocking last night after he fucked up.
  21. Kick off time tonight is the deadline.
  22. I took a look on Sky Bet. A double was 1/0.84 If you had a double Bolton to score 3+ goals in each game you’re at 5.88/1 I had a tenner on.
