  1. And the ''strange things Freedman said" list is a fucking long one.
  2. Sell out easy. Everyone on here seems to be buying about 15 tickets.
  3. We shouldn't have lost the two we did either. And we're the only British side to win at Red Star. We're by far the greatest team the world has ever seen.
  4. Ray Parry was even further back, aged 15. But Wayne Rooney was 14 years ago. Talent is talent.
  5. Great feeling when Ricketts got that equaliser though - roof nearly came off!
  6. I'm not saying throw them both in from the start, but worth giving them a chance. We seem to have had loads of players with potential in the reserves (before NL) who just hung around for 2 or 3 years, never got given a chance, and then disappeared without trace. Both of these guys may end up going the same way, but let's at least see what they have to offer.
  7. Scored another today - that's 10 in 7 games for the U18s! He may be 16, but so was Franny Lee when he made his debut. Get him on the bench - and Jamie Thomas. What have we got to lose?
  8. There's a Sainsburys right next door.
  9. I've noticed it at plenty of other grounds too. United are pretty bad for it. It's always happened as well - it's just more noticeable in all seater stadiums.
  10. To clinch second spot behind Boro...
  11. Jokes aside, I'm not sure we're any worse than other clubs' fans. The leaving 10 minutes early brigade are not confined to our place either.

    New Kits

Andy Walker wearing the shirt to run the Glasgow half marathon. Top man.
  13. Which is older/bigger? And is one more connected to the Wanderers than the other ie has fans who watch both?
  14. Is there a big rivalry between the two? I've seen us play at both but know very little about their histories...
  15. I think it's just over 5k. Being on telly will put some off...but a couple of wins before then and fact it'll be a new ground for some should see us take at least 4k. We've taken 2,500 or so the last couple of times to Burnley - and one of those was a lunchtime ko on telly so not sure why we wouldn't match that this time...especially if we can get something on Sat.
  16. We took that many to Blackburn on a Friday night for a game on telly - and tickets were only a quid cheaper.
  17. 2 and a half weeks away - we'll sell out...only got 2,500.
  18. I've praised the club for it many times - getting kids in is definitely the answer...but look around you...there are 10 times as many adults as kids in any given stand bar the north upper...which is hardly bursting at the seams. A senior citizen ticket in the North lower (cheapest stand) is £226 - so a tenner a match. So even with seniors and the small minority of kids tickets there's no way the average is £8.50 when every other fucker is paying £14-£20 depending on whether they're north lower or west upper. And that doesn't include those who turn up on the day and are sometimes forced to pay £35 a ticket.
  19. We don't have twice as many kids as adults though BB do we? Vast majority of our support are adults. It bothers me that most people are paying double what the club says it gets per seat.
  20. Not a big enough percentage to bring average down to £8.50...not by a long way.
  21. The club claim to have sold 10,800 season tickets - unless I missed it, not one of those averages out at £8.50 for an adult. Most are roughly double that price.
  22. Presume what you like. I've just told you what the facts of actual rather than notional or mythical ticket prices are.
  23. Clayton and Pratley will make a big difference to this side. Massive point that. NLSWA.
  24. I'm still waiting to find a ticket for £8.50. Given most of our support is made up of adult season ticket holders who are paying on average £15 or so a game I really don't see where the £8.50 figure comes from. The couple of thousand or so on the day sales are never less than about £25 a ticket for adults either. We'd have to be selling thousands and thousands more kids' season tickets to bring it anywhere close to an average of £8.50.
