Police tell all London clubs to call off matches. Anyone know if they're talking weekend? Also kicking off in Liverpool.
  5. Pretty good evening, although I do wish they'd have done it on the bank holiday weekend. The host for the evening was a bit of a dick and made some poor jokes but he did get better as it went on. Couple of cracking montages on the big screen - top ten Bolton goals over the last decade, a tribute to Jussi from past and present keepers including Reina, Van der Sar and Schwarzer and also a message from Jay Jay. They had a kid on doing kick-ups on stage - absolutely amazing he was. Got a chance to speak to Holden - true gent that guy and defo deserved the award. Need him back next season asap.
  6. Have we got to pay Villa anything?
  7. Surely the place goes to whichever position Liverpool are in. No?
  8. Might be wrong but I think I saw a photo of the game being played at Hillsborough. Edit: Too late and wrong club
  9. Didn't Iniesta get booked for that message on his shirt at the WC Final? And after how the Dutch played as well. Refs really can be little facists when they want to be. As for Holden, he seems like an amazing guy and it's a joy to have him at BWFC.
  10. Howt like a match against the dirty Salford swine to focus your mind back on the league. Great to see us sell out already, come Saturday all we'll care about is beating them scumbags. If we get something it could give us an edge in the final, god willing. Do think we'll give them a game as well and it's about time we beat them again (or any big team for that matter). The White Army marches on! (Hope Marseilles do them over also - tossers)
  11. Munchen's keeper

  13. I thought the whole defence played very well today. Alonso may seem a bit out of his depth at times but he played well today and against Liverpool, the more games he gets the better he will be. Robbo looked fine on the right but I would like steinsson back asap.
  14. Aye, it was one of the questions at the first manager/ fans forums. Not too bothered about the way we defend corners though, it's the fact that we don't score any that pisses me off. The ball goes to the far post too often, we really need to attack the near post more.
  15. I got Bolton 8th with 49 points. Blackpool, West Brom & Wigan for the drop. Munchen for the title.
  16. If we win three of the next four prem games then we have a chance, if not then we'll just have to win The Cup.
  17. The Sinclair goal is the best overhead kick I've seen, Rivaldo's is very good also. But it takes a Frenchman to add that little bit of class: Rooney's was a good goal but is being made out as the best goal ever just because he's a scumbag.
  18. Great win and good to see us playing well again. Hate Fellaini with a passion. Really dirty fucker and all elbows in the air. Was glad to see him walk of in a strop and not shake anyones hand at the final whistle. Petulant prick.
  19. Or even give a couple of hundred million towards the stadium in the first place. Can't believe they thought that they could get away with knocking down a half billion pound stadium the cheeky bastards. View will be shit for a footy game anyway, shit atmosphere also. The seats don't go near enough to the pitch at the Reebok for my liking never mind a running track. Still a great stadium though, just not for footy.
  20. Explains a bit this. I have a friend who has lived in Bolton all his life (apart from a some years down south for Uni and Work), he is a huge fan and goes to all the home matches and a lot of the European games home and away. His dad is a Liverpool fan but he isn't from Liverpool and therefore has no scouse accent. My friend on the other hand has started getting a scouse accent - even though he has never lived in Liverpool, doesn't have any friends/family in Liverpool (as far as I'm aware) and the only part of the town he knows is from the motorway to the ground and back again. It gets more weird everytime I hear him speak.
  21. When you talking about the 1950's? - fuck all to do with it.
  22. Sad day for Bolton but I hope there are plenty in town to see off the great man. Nice piece in the New York Times about him - I bet he never dreamt of the kind of reaction his passing would have, shows the measure of the man. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/26/sports/soccer/26iht-SOCCER26.html?ref=soccer
  23. I'd like to see all the flags back there, thought it looked class. I know it probably cost them a bit to make the sign but the home made flags look better.
