Im trying to identify where this is in Kearsley. The pic was taken in 1964
The sign above it says "Kennarts service station" but despite living in Kearsley all my life I don't recognise it.
I think it's where the new tesco metro is going to be built....it has been an old cars sales place and previously the petrol station I think.

Like the look of the Maldives but have not been for fear of going to paradise but being bored while there, am I wrong is there plenty to do?
as long as you can swim you can snorkel all day long you would never get bored....some island's are small with nothing at all to do whilst some islands are large and may have a driving range and 5 a side football pitche's ect....you would have to do a bit of research, well worth a visit

Sharm; yes, but not all inclusive, no need
Maldives is nice in November; spoil yerself
Been to the Maldives twice before...don't think funds will stretch that far.

Where's the Badger???

I thought the all round peformance was good although the full back positions looked suspect to say the least. I can see a natural replacement for Robinson in Alonso but is Ricketts much better than Steinnson...I'm not sure.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he plans to keep Jack Wilshere at the club for the new season.
Wilshere
enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bolton last season and was tipped to go out on another loan this term.Bolton have expressed a keen interest in bringing the talented midfielder back to the Reebok Stadium, while a number of other Premier League sides are understood to be monitoring the 18-year-old's situation.
However, Wenger insists Wilshere will stay at Arsenal
as he is set to figure in his plans for the upcoming campaign."I think I will keep him (this season)," Wenger said. "He can play on the flank or in the middle, deeper or wider as well. He should get a few games."

I will ave a look into that, its our Honeymoon so price isnt really that important as weve spent the last year saving for a bit of luxury!!!
Any other tips for Vegas?
It's important to carry I.D around with you everywhere you go as they ask for I.D if you look under 40 (if you desperate for a beer they will not serve you).
It's difficult to advise cause it's case of finding your feet for yourself. all restaurants are of a high standard (as expected).
See the lions in the M.G.M Grand.
If you fancy shopping Caesers Palace is the place or Miracle Mile behind planet hollywood is good (my favorite place to gamble was in planet hollywood in the pleasure pit....go and have a look and you will find out why.)
If you are gambling in the casino tip the waitress well on your first drink and she will come back to you quick...whilst you are gambling the drinks are free so just keep the waitress sweet and she will look after you.
Tell everyone you are on your honeymoon and you may get free upgrades (especially your hotel).
You will have a great time....there is so much to do I don't know where to start...

Cheers, is it better to book the helicopter before going out as its coming up at 269 dollars online is it cheaper to get it over there?
We deffo want to see a show were staying at Bellagio and Cirque del soliel is on, not sure if I fancy that.
To be honest the trip we went on was on of the top one's which was about 700 dollers but that included a meal in the canyon ect, walk on the see through bridge and the trip down the strip in the helicoper (it was a gift off our guest's so I can't really comment on price's ect). We have been to Vegas three times and seen various Cirque del soliel shows and they have all been brilliant so it will be worth it (you will probably get a discount cause you are staying in that hotel). The Bellagio by the way is by far the best on the strip and the fountains are breathtaking.

Is it worth it and whats the best way to do it? Am off to Vegas next week for one leg of Th'honeymoon and wondering if the Canyon is a must?
Defo a must....was in vegas in May to get married and decided to go on the trip and it was brilliant. We went on the helicopter tour which was a bit hair raising but worth it, we also went on the evening trip so we got the chance to fly down the strip as it was going dark so we experianced the strip in all it's glory. There are many different options you can take (just remember the coach trip is a 12 hour round trip so can be a long day). Whilst you are there if you get the chance to watch an afternoon show go and see Mac King, he is a magician but also a comedian. (keep your eyes out for by one get one free tickets outside just before the show, it's cheap anyway and well worth it).

Don't want the job but, out of interest:
What would a security man expect to take home these days? What's the shift pattern? Why would he need a drivers licence if the job is on a site in Lostock?
The rate of pay varies from shift to shift, the shift pattern is a week on nights (finishing friday morning) then back in for days on the tuesday for a week covering the weekend, then the following wednesday and thursday is day off then back to nights (it's very confusing you need to look at the rota). You need a driving licence cause you may need to goto one of the 57 shops if an alarm is going off in the night ect, and go to our other site ect.
-
A security job has come available at Greenhaulgh's bakery in lostock, applicant must have a full driving licence and be prepared to work nights and weekends ect. If you are intrested please PM me (SIA license not necessary).

One of the funniest things In have ever read.

-
on sunday i was in the pub watching that carling cup final - and the info comes out that one of the lads (a lifelong bolton fan) had a bet running on united to win 3-1 . he was seen to have a little cheer when they went 2-1 up and was then seen to be clenching his fist when united nearly scored a 3rd !!! obviously from that moment he was shunned .
now - do we keep up the shunning or should we let him off as a one off but he must promise never to do it again .
i know i can come to you lot for sensible advice and answers .
Make him stick his betting slip on his head for the next home game (against wigan) and put him in the east stand lower and let them boys decide!

"under Coyle Bolton made a promising start now they are getting worse and worse"

-
So I'll try now.
You know your bum scissors, or log snippers, or cigar cutters, or cable ties, whatever you refer to them as? Well mine appear to be broken.
For the last few weeks I haven't had 1 clean "guillotine" of my daily muck. Up until then, I could usually rely on my pruners to leave a relatively small amount of wiping leftovers (ale and curry heavy nights not counting).
Now though, I'm seriously considering putting a bidet in the bathroom because I'm getting some right poor results. There's a recession on and I'm going through enough bog roll to destroy a forest.
Is it my age? Do bum scissors just stop working in your 30s? Am I facing 30+ years of needing to have shower after EVERY movement?
The only other option is the crack wax favoured by men who eat truffles, and that seems too drastic.
Sounds like piles to me

9-0 city romp, 400 or so wanderers fans
then 11 straight losses, coyle resigns, cahill signs on for chelsea, jussi retires, get relegated, less fans, cant afford to maintain the stadium, move in at gigg lane, loose a few more fans, club fold, rip bolton wanderers, city go on to win ever cup every year so nobody likes football anymore beacuse its boring, curling is the nations new favourite sport.

So what you saying?
-
After a not so good first half I was looking forward to the half time Goldline draw with a possible ex wanderers legend, and who did we get...........90 year old BETTY

My wife's to be surname is STIFF, been with her for 9 years and i still makes me chuckle
