  1. Very sceptical about it. Yes it looks nice but.....as an engineer I think it is something that has been 'invented' to solve a problem that did not exist.

Super expensive and if done wrong is liable to fracture over time due to water ingress and frost. I'm sure there are some very reputable companies doing it, but to be honest any f?ckwit can level fancy concrete and go over it with a glorified tamp, and charge thrice the cost it would for bitmac or paving.

    And they are.

As mentioned, slippery as f?ck in icy conditions, and a bugger if you need to get to your drains and services.

The Romans didnt use it, and neither do I.

Block paving is the answer you're after.

    ta bud :good:

  2. Thanks so far.

    Anymore ?

I've had a TomTom 520 for 3 months, superb bit of kit, just reduced from ?299 to ?249 b@stards.

Handsfree via bluetooth, MP3 player, when you get a text the bugger reads it out to you.

slim enough to put in you pocket, not like the 500 and 510, they are fat.

If you do get a TomTom I have 49 voices for it =D>

As said in a prevous post only TomTom will do.

  3. The upstairs rooms are have to be vacated for 6....shouldn't the same apply to the room downstairs we are talking about??

For kick off times eg 5.15..then we appreciate it can be used only before the game...

As Scott's etc access only by ticket...

Having been to boxing do's there the screen and sound system is already in place...

as said before it was such a easy win for all...and the excuses given by the club were poor.

Now my biggest gripe is that the Reebok feels like it's straight in..match..straight out..this would relieve that feeling a little...

I also mentioned in discussions with the club...and i appreciate that this is also a council matter...

that the walk from the train station to the ground that road should be full of burger vans...stalls selling merchandise...etc...creating a atmosphere before you get in the ground...

I'm sure the artists impression before we started work on the Reebok showed a "cafe style culture" around the stadium, sure I have the pic somewhere.

It showed tables and parasols (brollies) around the concourse.

  4. Kick off times are shite too, not the clubs fault but they do have a say....... For me Football was always a Sat afternoon and Tues/Wed nights, may be the odd Sunday at 11am cause we'd been playing up the year before

Because the Sat 3pm matches are rare, most people have found other things to do on the "blank" sat's.

That's why pre-seaon seems to be easy over the last few years. I remember when pre-season was like coming off crack.

  5. [/b]

At least your honest, your not really a bolton fan or a football fan are you, many new age fans got swept along with the new football era and would never of been a fan in the 70s 80s and early 90s without sky promoting it I think a lot of these fans are now dropping off.

I'd say I'm not a football fan any more, MickyD is right (along with my dad), I've grown up

Watched Bolton from 73 until 98, missed two home games from 75 to 98.

When I'm working away or like recently on holiday when asked who my team is I always say Bolton and if I get any sh!t I give it back, got to be polite :good:

I may make an appearance this season as my son is getting interested in football. I'm thinking though of taking him to different lower league grounds as I think he (and I) may enjoy it more than the Reebok. Then again the Reebok could be a lower league ground soon =@

  6. Thing is I could now easily afford it but now I am 47 I'd rather do something else. I even struggled to watch the game on tele last week and I never watch any of the weekend TV games anymore.

I have more "disposable" income now than at any time in my life but like you say rather do something else.

TBH I only come here for the banter and the odd p!ssed up rant

Only time I watch football is the odd MOD on a Sunday morning or at the "Conny Club" with AndyBWFC

I get offered mates ST quite offten but have only taken it up once, Wigan a couple of years ago.

  7. Fcuk the whole thing off, and watch games occasionally when there is nothing better to do, or - most have already done that

I agree, I did one year at the Reebok and binned it, come next Aug it will be 10 years since I went "regularly".

Been to prob 10 games in the last 9 years, 7 where in a box, 2 I paid for (both v Wolves xmas 98 I think) and a mates ST for 1 (wigan two years ago when Northy lost his teeth).

Once you miss your first the rest become easy.

You know there's a problem when AndyBWFC jacks it all in.
