  1. All spot on that. Play as strong as a team as possible, I think a few lacked confidence and a good opportunity to put a performance in and score a couple goals. Would love a decent cup run too.

  2. I agree. Very impressed with him this season, nothing amazing about him but he's effective and that's what you need in this league.

The problem is if you look at our strikers and we're playing 2 up top then you would always say we'd start N'Gog and Beckford, IMO though Davies has earnt a start in a front 2 with either of the other 2.

Giving him a starting role up top on his own away from home is not a fair way to judge how good he is for us.

Yes the forest game wasn't about what he did or didn't do. Deserves a start.
  3. Saying on Sunday Supplement yesterday the sack could be very iminent for him.

My concern is that they might come in to get Freedman back - stranger things have happened in this game

Never thought of that. Holloway in.
  4. I like Craig Davies but I'd have N'Gog in my team over him every day of the week.

My worry with Ngog is he has potential and sadly I think that's all it will be at Bwfc. In his 3rd season now and nothing has changed. On his day (which is rare) he's class.

Craig Davies is a Gooden who is likeable because he works his bollocks off. But more importantly is effective and leads the line well. Deserves to be starting over Ngog for me at the moment.

  5. Hang on! Didn't Nixon say we were buying Rhodes as one of his exclusives? And didn't the stooges on here buy it hook, line and sinker?

    He's a bad, bad man.

He didn't say we were buying him though did he.
  6. what got me yesterday was two things:

out of 22 starting players only one had black boots :angry2:

the tactical genius of Arry could not see how exposed the full backs were because we should have been heavily raped there

Had the exact same discussion about the boots. Big tarts
  7. It doesn't matter who we have upfront. We ain't creating ought. If Beckford was missing plenty of golden chances then fine we need someone else.

And I don't think the lack of chances is down to poor positioning / lack of movement by Beckford or whoever is upfront.

A good point that. I don't know if it were nerves but a lot of players seemed to freeze on the ball yesterday.

I think Beckford just needs a confidence boost that I hope he collects at Tranmere.

  8. Top end of Newport Street with the bus very close to be outside The York.
