When they used to have the late train it was always rammed, think it was 4 15am plus when I moved to manc I used to get the 2 39 from Bolton to Manchester pretty much every Thursday night.Last train home always makes me laugh. It's the same throughout the country. Say last train is 11.40 from Manc. There'll be no checks at Manc. None on the train. And none at any station you get off at.
Every single time. It's like the govt are just subsidising a mode if transport to get drunkards home with the least bother possible.
Plus I'm conviced a 2am train from picadilly to the usual Bolton stations would be a right cash cow. Yes you'd need a bit of security etc but it would be rammed?
