A bit out of the way but if your lad boozing, I always used to enjoy the didsbury dozen. No hassle getting in anywhere and always a good laugh. Northern quarter is probably best avoided if there is a few of you.

Easy enough, thanks Con.Its the arsing about time to get you to the holiday inn from the airport.
The Holiday Inn is at the bottom of what was hangar lane. its served by a bus, but they arent that frequent from what I can remember. Its around 20 min walk from Terminal 2.

See the train to the airport seems fairly straight forward, I assume the Holiday inn is not near it says Altrincham rd. I'm probably just being a spaz. I want to be there for 9 15am.

I need to be at the holiday inn at Manchester airport on tues morning and haven't got access to the car. I've just done the public transport route planner and it says 2hrs 15 mins from Bolton. This can't be right can it? Any public transport gurus on here?

It seemed a fairly flawed idea to me. The op was making the point that the only way to compete with the big boys, fanbase, finance etc.Why would Preston, Burnley and Blackpool want to be part of it?? they're getting by just fine!
If we were ever involved in something like that I'd not be interested as I'm sure most would agree.

Just had a read of their forum. They are discussing a birth of a Lancs utd team for them Preston Burnley and Blackpool. Admittedly not a lot are keen but it must be grim if you think that would be good.
