  1. Beers great innit

It has its moments ha, not so good when I've bet 2 dmbs some money that we will finish above them in our respective leagues(start of the season) still its not over till its over. COYWM!
  2. i think our fans think they have some influence

they forced gartsides hand with megson and they think they can do it again

who wouldn't swap what we've got now for winning our game in hand to be 4th from bottom of the prem?

I agree fans mean nought. But I'm pleased we put Burnley to bed today!
  3. Is it football fans in general changing then?

because is 22 years, I don't recall fans ever being so impatient

It's a boring subject but while its trendy to like football you will always have your impatient fans on the flip side our crowd probably doubles. I don't know. What the answer is. In my head its less is best.
  4. Had a drink with peter nicholson who rated him very highly 18 month ago. He said petrov always played better with alonso as robinson always punted the ball over his head while alonso passed the ball to him.

The 2 or 3 times it was alonso and petrov they looked amazing.
  5.

    Spot on Jules.

I watched the Watfor- Palace game last night and listened to the Palace fans cause a right raucos even at 2 down, not a boo or chant in earshot.

Like I said on the DF thread,he must have known what he was doing leaving that kind of support and backing, and fuck me I bet he misses it.

Our away support has been brilliant this year as you probably know mate, Dougie will. Appreciate it. Home fans across the country are embarrassing its not a Bolton only thing

Agree - when Eagles is at his best and scoring everyone was raving about him and he is a player who can makes things happen - but a rest may do him good given his recent poor form - no need for some fans to give him abuse/boo him though, what will that achieve.

    Not everyone fella
  7. Eagles needs a rest. Problem is chungy needs a rest too. Hopefully when mavies is back we can rotate and keep people fresh.

Eagles is getting too much stick at the moment. He is playing poorly but some people have short memories. He was our best player up until December, pretty much carried us. He didn't get enough credit for those performances.

And now it's back to like it was last season. Eagles is a fanny, eagles is shit, get eagles off.

He will turn it around again. When he does, he will still get abuse.

    Well said Chris
  8. I don't mind if a club has one man willing to pump billions in a la Chelsea / city. clubs like DMB and lpool who have tens of millions all putting in a little.

It's as broad as long for me

Exactly it opens up the playing field and individual clubs should take responsibility for their own financial welfare.
  9.

There will be only you left at this rate...

I fancy my chances at them odds. My first plan will be to lose 6 0 on the last day and keep Bolton up!

experience wise, no doubt about it, Hodgson wins - "success" wise, debatable, best english manger - not much of competition either way

but spurs 3rd and 4th, not bad eh

He's never finished 3rd has he? He has spent loads at spurs 15m for Defoe who finally doing it under avb 12 mill for palacios 13m for Robbie Keane. I think its fair to say no English manager has had the resources that the crafty cockney has?
  11.

    twice

whatever way you look at it - he finished 3rd and 4th - if you think he had enough to finish above Utd and City then fair enough, I don't think he could've at Spurs and I don't think Boas will either, they may not even finish top 4 this season

media support counts for fuck all

most successful English manager in years

only English manager to take a PL team into the CL

only English manager to win FA Cup in years

find me anyone who'd do all that with no money

his face still looks like balls though

Hodgson has a better cv than arry. Even if that's disagreed being the best English manager currently is hardly an achievement is it.
  12.

he did get Spurs in the CL, twice (but for Chelsea winning it, they'd have been in it this year) which, given Spurs never operate at a loss (something like profit every season), is money well spent, surely?

Once. It's tough Chelsea won the champs league. His teams have blown it last 2 seasons because he didn't get to sign this or that in Jan quoted from him tevez was one year. He had more than enough at his disposal to deliver better. No manager has had bigger media support than rent a quote. He's just a chancer who won't be wanted by a big club again. I find it amazing people wanted him as England manager?
