Think losing Davies will be a blow as he gives us something a little different compared to others when he wants to turn it on or three in midfield. On the plus side a bidding war can't be bad if he wants out!

That's impressive!We drove to Heathrow for Madrid, Lisbon and Munich for the sake of about ?30 quid each. As the only non driver though it was ace getting as pissed as I wanted there and back knowing I didnt have to drive.
I got ID'd in the wetherspoons at heathrow for the Lisbon game and the manager came out and said "no its alright, he's a regular". How fucking ace is that!

Aye, there is probably as many teams that would bring 5k in the championship as do in the prem!Have to disagree with not a single 20k crowd Leeds,sheff weds and burnley to name a few will fetch 5k

That's the spirit! There are 4 games I could see 20k crowds if were doing well, blackburn, burnley, sheff wed and Leeds. Maybe huddersfield as well.it wont be the st holders we'll be missing, it'll be the bloke who decides on the day.
on the other hand, they wont be able to watch in the pub.
i'd be suprised if we see a single 20k crowd

Yep I think we are agreed here. Sadly different time, different era. Time to look forward, rather than back.I did say I was talking chracter not ability I'm not for one second suggesting the rioch years had better plays just more character which is what we are sadly lacking now by the bucket load - that is is surely a valid point

I think its unfair to call petrov a sulky twat, our best player by a mile this season. While they were great years with that team I think Todays is slightly better in terms of ability.Good point our team was fucking gutless last year whether coyle fucked up or not they were the easiest bolton team to roll over I've seen in 20 years - coyle knew that to, it doesnt excuse some of his shite decisions but I think he knew this year would be telling if the chips went down early on - thats why I fear for us a bit next year we're still short of some proper character in our squad for example and I'm talking character not necessarily ability - compare a Rioch side versus coyles
Bogdan v Branagan - both quiet really but Branagan demanded respect due to performances Bogdan still gets mothered in games
Brown v Riley Mears - Brown big character riley mears nowt
Stubbs v Ream - Stubbs big character future captain of every club he's been at Ream says nowt
Bergsson v Wheater - Bergsson proper skipper lead by example
Phillips v Ricketts - to be fair similar both seem seemed to say bog all
Thommo v Petrov - Thommo larger than life shall we say petrov sulky twat
Kelly v Holden - Kelly massive character Holden maybe he demands respect
McAteer v Mavies - McAteer big character again mavies fuck all
Green v Chungy - Green queitish chungy hardly demanding performances from his team mates

We've got next to no character or characters in our current squad if we start slow next year we'll be riding the titanic again I tell you and you could do this excercise with any allardyce squad we've always had big characters at the club which drag along some of the lesser lights with Jussi & NRC both now gone we've not got any
