  1. Did you go tyls orsee game? I've always thought Robbo looked half decent with a bit of grit when playing in away teams - whats up did he just get caught in possesion and gave away like saturday??
  2. Exactly he's no chance and there must surely be a tipping point where him staying on is morely like to cause more and more damage to the club than him leaving meaning we're more likely to get relegated - I think that tipping point is very very close - with the time and money he's had for the team the opportunities he's had to try and build bridges with the fans, there's only one thing he can't be blamed for which is depressing at BWFC at the minute and thats the fucking shite kit we're currently wearing!
  3. Strachan got celtic to last 16 of Champs League and consistently kept Saints up playing decent footy - Megson relegated WBA Todd relegated BWFC - it's not a precurser for being a bad manager. Question for you now - Are none of them at least equal to Gary talent wise?? All of them would be given a chance by the majority of BWFC fans so immediatly put a few more bums on seats and immediatly give the club a lift and have as much chance of keeping us up as gary with a lot of the season left?? Is there any conceivable way gary can turn round his current status with the majotiy of fans whether that status is deserved or not?
  4. Aidy Boothroyd, Gordon Strachan, Gary Johnson, Steve Coppell, Alan Curbishley, would all be conceivably interested in the job and have as good a CV as any manager we've appointed in recent seasons and I mean at the time we appointed them not after we gave them a chance to make their name - so they meet our usual criteria..............the big thing is they would all give HOPE to the majority of fans of a brighter future rightly or wrongly and immediately galavanise the whole club, who's two most important things are players and fans.
  5. Closely followed by "What ?3m offer for Elmander....nah no worries write off the ?5m not a problem lets have another go eh" Come on Megson has got to take responsibilty for his actions at some stage surely? Maybe I should have splet on this I've had a few at the cricket and am severly gutted.
  6. Bruce Rioch, Sam Allardyce and Cloin Todd weren't world class managers but they bought decent players, played decent football or played winning football or all three
  7. http://www.skysports.com/video/clips/0,237...5507959,00.html I'd be pretty pissed off and saying "Hang on pal you were the one who set the priority targets and spent your budget on centre halves and fullbacks dont come crying to me for attacking options when you've only just realised the millions you've spent in that department have not worked out" he can't have it both ways - one day it's we're bolton and have to cut our cloth the next it's insinuating I need more money - my patience is wearing thin - with the money we have and have spent you can succeed with entertainment in the prem proven fact - you have to buy the right players and deploy decent tactics.
  8. Gutting result will let the lads and lasses who went to do post how we did before slating anyone but threads on the game look like new season same old shit to me. Just seen megson on sky it was heavily edited but IMO along with recent interviews he looks weiry and on his last legs to me - he's got thicker skin than a bull elelphant but looks to me like he's starting to have had enough with the flack, unless it's that he's unhappy wi board backing for striking options which would be gutting if he's coppering up to get someone in - he's the one who's spanked ?8m on elmander who I think would do well in a decent team who play to his strengths which we are not so he's no chance and is on seriously borrowed time - he picked out taylor and davies for criticism today which wont go down well but when you look at the stats and when either last scored a league goal it's very very worrying Jan I think - he's getting more rope and he's hanging himself can't say I'm disappointed with the inevitable outcome of all this, but will keep plugging away and back the team we need points on the board.
  9. "we've brought a few in to try and bring them on but it doesn't always work out" I think the Korean lad fits in this category - unproven but brought in to see if he can step up and it might not work - the fact he's played one game has nowt to do with it - not saying it hasnt worked out just it might not - hope it does.
  10. Megson has reiterated his desire to sign a striker before the end of the transfer window but ruled out a move for Leeds United?s Jermaine Beckford. Reports had linked the Wanderers boss with a ?2.5million bid for the Elland Road favourite, who has just one year left on his contract. ?You?re going to get a lot of this kind of thing because people know we are looking for a certain position,? he said. ?Agents see that window closing down and the gossip fills papers. ?It?s wrong of me to say no, or yes, because it?s an agenda that I haven?t created. I?ve never told anyone the name of the player that we are trying to bring in - I don?t do that.? From BN website - his quotes dont actually say he's ruled it out so sounds like usual from BN - utter shite!
  11. Wish you were right but the only potetial change will be JLS for Robbo and he won't do that - McCann will play - team selection based on our "improved" second half performance - it seems to me Garys only tactical changes these days are to ask for a higher tempo from the same players.
  12. Yes agreed was just wondering which players Megson had in that bracket.
  13. For ?7m he needs to be a damn site better than Riga - remind me again why we gave him a 3 year deal?? I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get near the 1st team this year he's one of Garys "we've brought a few in to try and bring them on but it doesn't always work out" signings! Wonder who the rest are - Cohen, Korean, Shittu, M Davies???
  14. It's pretty ludicrous he feels he needs to defend his position after one game - a well trodden thread on here but I'm not having judge me after 23 games we need to see a stark improvement and consistency well before then
  15. He's different, good enough (IMO) and would increase our striker options by 50% thats the point.
  16. Cheeky sods have used my post - if thats my 15 minutes I'll be honest it's a touch disappointing.
  17. 1 win in 20 league games, can't attract players, coming across like a balloon a couple of times?
  18. "Or fantasy aside the likes of Hodgson, Bruce and Zola have all achieved relative success under the same constraints but in very different ways " I meant relative to BWFC so I'm agreeing "Megson has achieved what he's been asked credit for that it's how he does it and conducts himself where the majority of the problems lie" He could well get us in the europa league but that wouldnt be enough for a lot because of the above - good enough for me but not for a lot of BWFC fans thats our problem and the vicious circle we're in he changes unlikely fans change unlikely so the merry go round rolls on!!
