  1. So Howard ..... Basran simple has enough cash to get us to break even ie picking up on Ken’s MO but with cash and time to see it through? Medium term they would be looking to stablize improve the footy side and flip it to a stupid billionaire? Other than that what’s Basrans plan to get a return for his investors?
  2. I’ve worked for a guy like Ken and I’ve been in distressed businesses. Given what he bought and the circumstances he bought it he gets my respect. I genuinely hope we can move on to purely footballing concerns now and build our reputation back to where it was and get some pride back in that majestic white shirt
  3. Maybe they’ve seen a balance sheet pre due diligence and they’ve understood terms for debts to “funders” Davies Warbies James et al but it’s actually trade creditors that’s causing the problem. so balance sheet said we owe say £3m and now they’ve looked into it and realised it’s all due now along with HMRC - rates etc etc and it’s totally bollox up the funds needed on day one and any cash flow forecasts. What a consortium can’t do is react quickly to something like that if Basran has got to go back to say 5 investors for more funds it gets messy. its a realistic issue due diligence could bring up. the more I think about the direct debit thing the more I’m convinced it’s ken tee’ing us up for admin if the deal collapses
  4. I think it’s illegal to continue to trade whilst knowingly insolvent - Could be the answer ie ken covering his bases in case deal falls through - makes sense and potentially deeper shit than we were in 3 year ago that’s a very very real stance to take. from here it’s bought out of admin most likely or good night god bless less likely
  5. If blowing smoke up his arse respects how he’s kept things going achieved relative success on the football pitch given his and the clubs resources then yeah stick me in that clan no probs. the fat lady ain’t singing yet is she
  6. Rangers were liquidated right? If we get liquidated we’re talking Stockport County Darlington Halifax tackle
  7. If all bets were off on sale the club would surely be in admin by now ...... stuff is still happening it might end up being shit but we’re still in the game it would appear. mounts until the point we have some definition on our future judgement is reserved on ken imo. all this stuff is what happens when businesses hit choppy waters directors shareholders and lenders with security are the priority - staff and facilities aren’t that’s just how it is
  8. I’m an optimist but this is looking increasingly like Kenneth has played his last card. There had got to be some sort of communication today I’d imagine he’s treading a fine line between trying not to spook buyers / preserve his own wealth v’s wrongful trading issues
  9. Big week coming up no two ways about that
  10. Have we ascertained if this email is genuine?
  11. If they leave the staff players or whom ever dangling for a week they’re a set of cunts
  12. That’s a concern unless they are literally looking to close the deal tonight and neither party felt they had the right to say anything. New owners wanted to make announcement tomorrow and make wages payments. thats best case - worst case there’s been a wobble and ken doesn’t want to set alarm bells ringing until it’s truly dead and he’s on to plan b
  13. Non- story everything on track to get deal done - all of the previous non payment of wages have ended in what two parts of fuck all like this one will. its not ideal but it was bound to happen and if anything it tells me the deal is nearly done
  14. What’s he done wrong saw an opportunity to buy a football club on the cheap and flip it ASAP knowing full well he’d have to do it by the seat of his pants at times - brinksmanship is not illegal. So this deal gets done mission accomplished? Oh and in the meantime got us back in the championship.
  15. If this deal goes through and ken gets his £3-£5m then he’s played a blinder entrepreneurs deserve big returns because they take big risks and can see opportunity where others see nowt. anyone with half a brain would give him credit and gratitude without him remember bwfc doesn’t exist
  16. Yes he has about £170m when he bought the club for a pound if you want a debt free club then don’t hold out much hope on this deal either get your head out of che Guevaras arse and the supporters trust spell you’ve slept walked into ffs
  17. £27m worth? I get the land thing but I’m sure when business people buy football clubs it’s MO will remain football
  18. To a football club yea - it’s like someone buying Boeing and then saying right I want to make baked goods
  19. Ken bought for a quid to flip it which he’s just about managed made commercial sense he took advantage of v dicy situation to make a couple quid - the new guys buying for £27m tells me they in it for longer term and therefore must have a 2-3 year plan at least with the cash to back it up - you can’t asset strip a football club nothing to strip that’s got any value to anything other than a football club
  20. The length of time the diligence takes might depend on where the money’s coming from - if it’s his own cash he can do as much or as little as he likes but if there’s debt then funders will want a proper job. ken has massively simplified what was a basket case financially so you’d hope it’s straight forward
  21. Is it bad I’m struggling to give a fuck I’ve gone all Ameobi - next 3 fixtures I’m going 9-1 aggregate against us
  22. Would appear from sun article that HMRC are owed £1m subject of winding up petition and Council £1.5m in rates I reckon Ken’s out of options now so its get this deal down or admin before Easter
  23. It was weird as fuck that goal going in I was trying to think about a less enthusiastic goal celebration and the closest I could get was Ancona Anglo-Italian Cup when they had Jesus sent off
  24. What’s its worth which usually what someone else is prepared to pay - it’s up to him to decide what the highest point that is but I’d imagine since Eddie died it’s dropped and dropping reasonably fast
