  1. yeah Deano was banging on about getting some loan signings in wasn't he? things seem to have changed
  2. Probably big sam leaving. Was all a bit wank how it came about and was certainly a turning point in our recent history
  3. Fantastic stuff yesterday. Brilliant effort to put that on and for the fans to show up like they did after this year especially. Got to help with morale going into next season also. We went over Friday night and stayed in the hotel. Pitchview room was amazing, got some cracking pics, particularly of the Macron later on when sun had gone down, I'll try and post it if I can
  4. If something is about to happen, could the timing be connected to the end of todays matches?
  5. Disappeared from the managers specials on Sky bet! wonder what's going down?
  6. So is KA the guy that stepped in late in the day when one of the other investors pulled out? I thought he was already involved but only guessing. If he is then that would make sense if now Deano and him aren't thinking along the same lines because Deano been in this from the start and maybe didn't know KA's opinions, plans, views etc. bwfcfan may be bang on, if they have started falling out already this could be a fkin shambles. Think personally I remain confident for now that these guys have the nouse to sort out our shit but it does worry me that if they don't agree on manager then we haven't got a clear agreed plan of how to move this club forward, more a do whatever seems right at the time approach, or more worryingly a spend too much time arguing about it and do very little approach. Might not be a bad shout for Deano as manager for now at least, creating more defined roles for the two of them. Having said that all this disagreeing about the new manager may be utter bollocks!
  7. I know you never know how things will work out but I cant help thinking FFS not Carver
  8. sorry, meant as in he says sort of enthusiastically that the fans will be happy with who they appoint, and that raises my hopes it might be someone better than who we will probably end up with and plenty will moan whoever it is that we appoint rather than be pleased. I'm expecting Jose or Moyes now !
  9. Are you struggling with any particular bit BD or all of it?
  10. Just saw a different clip of Anderson on Granada reports where KA says of the supposed 3 final candidates, 2 are currently in work so they would have to speak to their clubs if they picked one of them, who do we think they are now with that clue Not sure if it's a bad thing for him to say we will be pleased with the appointment, sort of raises hopes that its a higher profile manager than we expect, or does to me. and has he met us? pleased?
  11. Haha that made me , cashback!
  12. Sure Ive seen a new kit with the St Georges flag on the front, must be a training kit, the flag one i mean
  13. The way the club has been run, the money from quickquid would have been gone in a month anyway! the lack of alternative sponsors was just another reminder of how wank we are.
  14. Point taken, but its not been run like a business has it, well badly I suppose but run properly then there wouldn't have been a need for quick quid to begin with. I just don't think the clubs inability to pay staff wages was, or should have been because we didn't take money from scumbags, probably a different topic altogether to be fair
  15. Strange point to make about a moral argument, surely if Saul thinks that morally ED should have paid the wages then he will also think that it wouldn't have been very moral to gain sponsorship money from a loan company set up to fleece people with fuck all to start with. Maybe the staff could have been given quickquid loans to cover them?. We should, as a professional football club, be run well enough to not need funding by wankers and also to pay our staff
  16. I think everyone will have different opinions of ED in terms of how things have gone tits up and whether he was good or bad for the club.. but he was majority shareholder so whether you think he is a cunt or not he wasn't responsible for paying the wages. I have said the opposite in previous messages usually out of frustration for those not getting paid like "its your club Davies pay your fucking staff" but thats a wrong view in reality because the club should have been run well enough to pay the staff, not that ED should pay it himself. unfortunately a company owned by shareholders will in the main act in the best interests of the shareholders. I don't think that is going to ever change. In my opinion he is as responsible as much as the board for the way this club has been run into the ground and that created the situation where the staff didnt get paid, so he is a cunt for that!
  17. Was thinking it was a pointless decision also until I read Mick's post! Carries on like this Lennon will be the only championship manager that hasn't been sacked! fucked up that!
  18. One too many surely's in that last post I reckon
  19. I would think Lennon is as good as gone now surely! Deano clearly wants to be hands on and I can't see Lennon taking kindly to him pointing out what he has been doing wrong, which he surely / hopefully will be planning to do.
  20. Was at Goodison for the FA cup match, was on the terrace behind the goal under the scoreboard. There were JCB's outside waiting to rip the stand down at full time unless I dreamt it.
  21. yep I'd say so. It's hard to imagine him still being here in a much milder financial position. No amount of money worries however can explain some of his decisions

    21 Years Etc

So many of these nights at Burnden in my first 10 years of watching Wanderers. Totally get Zico's point about it looking awesome watching the embankment wankers celebrate even though we had conceded, couldn't help but watch when a goal went in. Other brill nights, Tottenham 6-1, beating Chelsea, every match v Wolves etc One of the best atmospheres I thought was Oldham in the FA cup, even though we lost it was deafening at one point early in the second half as I remember, we are the one and only wanderers over and over again for what felt like hours. Willing the ball in, just didnt happen for us that day. that did have an ambankment moment when Beckford scored.
