  7. Gudni Ritson Browny ... then Alan Hutton in that order in my era.
  8. Sorry to disappoint but they've made up. Last seen walking hand in hand into The Valley last Tuesday. Sorry no piccie.
  9. Finally home after a long day but well worth it. Every single one of them lads who put on the white shirt tried their bollocks off tonight. I know some have short comings and this can easier be seen when they scored but there was no doubting their commitment. Bit worried that we look for Mavies with every short pass from the back and others bomb on. On a greasy pitch like tonight there is no guarantee that he'll get it under control and progress and it put the fear of god in me when he lost it. Best team by a mile after their first but done again when Moxey fell asleep. If that had been on the right tonight it wouldn't have happened. Holding looked steady and alert and did little wrong at RB. Four at the back to those non-attenders guessing at 352. Spearing MOM for me although the lads and lasses that made the effort to go come a very close second. Very surprised how many we had there .... 400+??? Every single player, subs and NL all came over at the end with a big thanks for a great support. Well done to all that went and backed the players all night. p.s. please Mr Feeney can you practice your crossing a bit more? May be pull the odd one back to the pen spot or edge of the area? Just a thought.
  10. What a friggin' mess the BWFC top brass have got us in. As far as I know the only options now are to either pay up the HMRC debt (and if it is old debt, then they'll probably want the lot) or go into administration quickly and get a CVA sorted out. This will give the club a decent chance of avoiding being wound up but the impact on the football side of things is shite. Like anyone else, I've no idea why HMRC would issue a winding up order as they would get nothing if the BWFC went to the wall, so they must have reached a point where they've just had enough over the past few months/years - not just the very recent stuff. Got to get a move on to get into administration as this takes a while but there's no guarantee that a court would allow it anyway .... unless these new owners are just round the corner. We can but hope.

  12. Cock. I'm comparing two football clubs in the same position as each other. Two clubs that need to adhere to the same rules set by the football authorities and two clubs that need to pay their bills as they know what the outcome will be if they don't. Grow up.
  13. No! Although I have seen Sophie Anderton in her undies once about the same time she was banging Simon Jordan who was their Chairman about the same time we were at Farnborough Town!
  14. I've been in this situation with a club that me and two mates had a while back, so unless the rules have changed the future can go one of three ways: 1. New Owner - now seems an unlikely prospect unless the due diligence process has started as this can take a while. If the cash flow is not available to meet current 'footballing' expenditure then this will be frowned on by the PFA / league and players will be free to leave if the terms of their contracts are not met and administration will follow without a substantial cash injection to meet liabilities until a take over is complete. This is why they're asking for £10m as this is what is required until a take over can be completed. 2. Administration - if 1 fails we will be put into administration and suffer an inevitable relegation with the debts still applicable with a repayment schedule arranged but not sure how this can be arranged with creditors if there is no cash available to meet a CVA. 3. Winding Up - this is where it gets interesting and we need ED on board. At the moment he is by far the major creditor and would have the deciding vote as a clear majority vote is required. Saying that debts to the Crown (HMRC) 'can' be a different proposition. We had a £700k HMRC debt to pay and offered an immediate 50% settlement with staged payments over three years. They said 'No'. Then offered slightly more and they refused which meant that the Club was wound up and HMRC got diddly squat. They said they didn't want to set a precedent to other clubs but I think they've been a bit more lenient since. ED's debt needs to stay in the accounts so he has a vote, otherwise we could be well and truly fucked. We'd be relegated three steps in the pyramid so the Conference is calling, or even Conference North if we've been relegated at the end of this season and wound up after. We inherited lots of debt and didn't quite manage to turn things around. How the hell a club like BWFC has reached this is beyond me. This has built over many years and is down to a massive amount of bad management. Even with a 'football' and 'commercial' business model it isn't that difficult to budget on known income and expenditure, so ED and PG must have seen this coming for a long time and done nothing. Beggers belief.
  15. A flare and a fracas and they get over 40 years and six year bans. It's gone mad. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/local-news/atherstone-town-fa-cup-thugs-10419110
  16. So who went arse over tit then? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vh7hBRqTSJ0
  17. Surprised me a bit how much we dominated first half and a couple of decent performances - Clough in patches, Prince apart from the one time he nearly fucked up big time and enjoyed the Madine challenges and flick ons, but ............. Work on corners ffs - we had loads of them and never looked like scoring. Stop being lazy bastards and get back on side. Stop clearly running off side. Excellent support - before and during but fuck off the boo boys and support the lads through thick and thin.
  18. Swan Hotel has a few in mate
  19. Can't get there on time after work or home that night by train. Will be making up for it at Huddersfield and QPR .........
  20. Here's a first ... I'm driving to a match. Missus has the motor so got a company Transit van so if anyone needs a quick getaway from the stadium to get the train (MK or Bletchley) PM me and I'll drop you off. First come first served. p.s. Sober Dan has bagged one of the front seats.
  21. Loved that bloke. Was at his house a couple of weeks ago and he did look terrible but always a nice welcome. RIP George and condolences to Penny and family. High as a kite watching the cricket but now this news has put a real dampener on the day.
  22. I was out with the lad who missed the penalty at Ascot a few weeks after. A couple of lads asked that I wouldn't wind him up knowing full well after a few pints he had no chance. Fair play, when we met at the 3 guineas at Reading station early doors, he took me outside and told me to take the piss and get it done as he'd be waiting for it all day. Good lad Stuart Lovell and thanks for the missing the pen lad!
  23. Living in Reading it wasn't the worst day of my life supporting the whites! Back to a boozer to meet the Reading lads, 8 of us weren't that welcome. I thought they were mates. Still talking about it now.
  24. Neil Lennon's side will travel to Austria in early July for a training camp before four away friendlies against lower league opposition. I've read that bit wrong! Assumed it was four games in Austria but reading again it obviously isn't and is just a training camp!
