I've no idea on this but does anyone know if financially it costs less to support an area with a mine or an area with mass unemployment, social deprivation and everything that comes with it. Just wondered how the economics worked out?
I think teachings a hard job but you get paid more then nurses due to increments and work more sociable hours. I know a couple of nurses who went to teach primary due to better working hours for their family and pay.
That's unbelievable. It not too different from my experience, knobheads who act like they're doing everyone a favour by being there. Apparently they got caught out at Bacup bizarrely. Lad I know supports fc said Bacup fans were nutters.
It's the sense of importance fc United fans have, they think they're great for supporting a non league team but they're all watching United in the pub. They want it every way. Hope chorley do it
just confused me as you said there was very few genuine rivalries but then explained your criteria and this qualifies loads of clubs as having genuine rivals? I don't think we've got a genuine rival but in that survey loads of clubs had us as second or third team they hate. Always the bridesmaid never the bride us. Besides wigan it would be Bury or tranmere I suppose and none of us want that wedding.
Get in! Could have been so different, RMI megastore, 70000 at grundy hill would have been a bugger for parking. All the foreign glory hunters could have stayed at the crown for the match
I just find it confusing because there seems to be quite a few genuine rivalries. Anyway when's someone going to do a link to that rivalry survey from the early 2000s. Weren't we in the top ten most hated?
Whilst half the town supports United and they're the ones giving you shit at work, school, pub etc then they're gonna remain rivals. I don't like Wigan I thought the game this year at their place had an edge to it that you don't always get at Blackburn.
Curry house on St Georges road, hawthorns, St. Andrews court having shops in it, whiteheads, boydells, market hall having people in it shopping, white lion (horse) not sure, gypsy tent and finally Bolton town centre being a good shopping centre
Sounds like he's losing it even more then he was. The statements so ridiculous you've just got to laugh and move on. It's over Owen, thanks for Birmingham City away and your goals as a player.
Went to chorley tonight, shame about the result but good atmosphere and match. You forget how much a small ground with terracing can change an atmosphere.
This is pretty sensationalist as you'd expect I suppose. I heard racist chants at burden with a lot joining in. I've not heard anything since we've left there home or away besides three times when I've heard isolated idiots shout something. It was that unusual I can remember the times clearly. This program makes out like it's the 70s still.
