Yep, about all there is to look forward too, 11th or 16th in league makes no difference aside from an extra couple of million to spend the year after. We should be putting a strong team out in this competition. Especially in very tricky looking away games. At least if your still in cup and stuck in the bottom half theres something to look forward too, "at least we've got a quarter final to play in 2 weeks etc". Cant say i get excited anymore at the thought of plodding to 38-44 points and coming 14th. Would rather play a strong team in cup and rest the players sunday as 95pc of the time we'll lose anyway.

apart from the west ham result, we have been worse than megson. can't beat fulham at home, can't beat brum at home, rolled over and died against the arse and couldnt beat managerless villa, now we suffer the embarrassment of losing to the freaks.
I really fear for sunday, no doubt we will keep up with recent tradition and concede 4-6 goals against a top team

personally i say get rid of him now, massive let down over recent seasons, although hes not a bad shot stopper, hes undecisive in the air, can't command his box and any high shots he drops down to his knees. Before he got sent off on sunday he was moping about his area shaking his head etc, I even shouted to him to get his f@ckin head up as he clearly didn't want to be there. He has become a liability and has no excuse for doing what he did and spoiling any chance of us winning that game
