  1. Very clever by Israel to target a relatively minor target near to the iranian's nuclear facilities, Israel are basically saying, don't fook with us because we can hit anywhere we want to, while maybe not antagonising Iran too much.

Just get a bigger Alfa, if you're happy with them (a lot of people are) then nothing else comes close for looks or style.

And you would get a stunning Giulia for 20k

I've actually been considering one of those tbh, they look nice too.

The Mercedes will be much better quality,  better finish and more plush.

As a recovery driver, i'd average 2/3 Mercedes a day on about 8/9 total jobs.

Had about 3 skodas that were not rtcs.

I'd go for the fake VW if it were me.

Is that because there are many more Mercs around than Skoda's? Just looked at reliability and the Skoda seems so much more reliable than the C class, which concerns me.

  4. Hello!

I'm changing my beloved Alfa Romeo Giulietta which I've owned for 5 years and its been a belter!

I am torn between a Skoda Octavia VRS and a Mercedes C Class 300, I am willing to spend around 19/20K on a car, the Skoda and Mercedes are pretty similar in prices for the same year and mileage.

There isn't much difference in performance and economy, I think the Mercedes is slightly quicker on acceleration, both cars are around 250BHP, which is plenty for me.

I only drive automatic and petrol cars these days, I do less than 5K mileage a year, but I really need a car that is comfortable for my parents who are both 83 now and them getting in and out of my Alfa is a little problematic .

I just wanted to see what you guys thought and which car you would go for?

  5. Went to a John Barnes one a couple of years ago, that was ok. My mate went to a Vinny Jones and Paul Gascoigne joint one and he said it was absolutely shite, he said Vinny was ok but you couldn't understand one word Gazza was saying, no surprise I guess.

  6. My daughter who is 26 had the MMR vaccination back in 1999 and 2001, she currently works at a local NHS hospital, she had been feeling pretty poorly for quite some days, we just thought it was one of the seasonal viruses going around. Anyway, on Friday she woke up and was pretty much covered in a horrendous rash, mainly on her face, neck, palms of her hands pretty much everywhere apart from her legs.

We all panicked , like you do, you think it could be meningitis, we rang 111, who were pretty helpful and then they said we could visit our local pharmacist , who really hadn't a clue what her rash was, the pharmacist did ask the question whether my daughter had had her MMR vaccination , so I think that kind of threw the pharmacist.

Anyway, we decided to go to the walk in centre in Leigh, who were absolutely amazing , due to her rash my daughter had to be isolated into her own room, we spent maybe a couple of hours in there, a GP even had a look at her, they arranged for a swab test to come over from Wigan NHS hospital, my daughter should get the results in the next couple of days, but the walk in centre staff seemed pretty sure ahe had contacted measles.

The occupational health department (the hospital where my daughter works) contacted my daughter the same day and it looks like they traced the patient who my daughter dealt with a couple of weeks ago, it turns out to be a young 16/17 year old who we think may have been unvaccinated .

My daughter is still very poorly with Measles and is mainly sleeping, she's been told to take the maximum paracetamol and drink plenty of fluids, this is a nasty illness and I wouldn't be surprised if there is going to be a huge outbreak soon as there are supposed to be over 3 million unvaccinated people wandering around.

    Get your kids vaccinated !😉

  7. It's a very harrowing murder, I live a couple of miles away from one of the murderers (Scarlett) she comes from a lovely family apparently, she has two older brothers who I believe are no trouble whatsoever.

The lad (Eddie) very intelligent I believe, he sat next to one of my mate's son's lads at Culcheth High, apparently a nice lad too and my mate's lad said he couldn't believe he was capable of such a thing.

    All very sad.
