Fair points. I've just found some of the stuff I've seen and heard about Schumacher this season a bit harsh and premature is all. I don't want us to become a club that hires and fires once a season or more, I want this to work.

It could well be just overall fatigue from everyone about still being in this league and still having to digest battles with Burton, Northampton, Orient etc. I refer to him often as hes pretty much the only show in town when it comes to media coverage of the club, but Iles seemed quick to jump to a negative view on the way things were going on his podcast, you see a lot of critical stuff from fans online, and updates from the club/SB about how great it is working with him are nowhere near as apparent as they were under Evatt. At the same time as that though, Schumacher sounds quite prickly when discussing transfer business and Im sure said something along the lines of "you'll have to soeak to Fergal about that" when asked recently. So I hope all is well in the background and hes happy working this way, because I like him. Anyway, almost certainly overthinking it, delighted with a couple of scruffy wins.

Someone on twitter (maybe a poster on here?) has posted about the amount of points weve won after 80 mins this season. That's why i dont get the extreme vitriol when we've only played half or an hour of a game. It's frequently grim and I'd obviously prefer us to be slapping everyone, but we've a proven record of playing till the last minute at home. Bit of a tangent and maybe one for a Brand Schumacher thread, but I definitely detect a far colder attitude towards him from fans, media and possibly even board alike. Possibly not a bad thing, but everything seems a lot less cosy than it did for much of Evatts time.
