SJM one is brilliant. His chat on Under the Cosh was good but this is even better. His whole attitude is summat else. Wasn’t there for the money. His stories are simply about a bloke who wanted to play footy and wanted to play for managers and coaches that he liked. And got sidetracked and bamboozled back in the old days. A really good listen

And there's another part to come I think.

  2. For me he's a Delfounso type.... A nice enough bloke, has some ability in there but is as weak as piss, lacks any real aggression & couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo. Don't wish the bloke any harm but finding an upgrade shouldn't prove to difficult.

Your opinion and you're welcome to it, but why do you think evatt hasnt given him this 'fair run'

If we are playing that game Evatt gave Crellin a fair run when everyone could see the lad was way out of his depth & sees something in Kachunga that bypasses most people ..... All managers have blind spots & favourites, however, Evatt gets far more right than wrong thankfully.

That must have been terrifying for you. Thankfully I spend my entire life inside a computer and have never experienced the outside world as I am a computer program designed to annoy people on an obscure internet forum.

Thank you for explaining.... You need to be reprogrammed as you really aren't that annoying.

Have you had a knife pulled on you for calling out a racist?

Can't say that I have.... Only ever had a knife pulled on me once & that was a Preston fan...... Don't think he was a racist though.

  6. That team of officials were totally inept, it was like an exercise in how not to referee a football match. As for Kachunga, if he just once showed that kind of aggression when he had the ball at his feet it'd be bordering on a miracle.

No, but to be fair to them they only got promoted from the fourth tier the season before we did and their wage bill last season was only just higher than our wage bill in Evatt's first season despite playing one league higher.

And there are plenty of clubs who have spunked a lot of money & failed to get out of this league... I'm only interested in us & we are still improving...... Does Plymouth success make Evatt a failure? Did Plymouth get out of League 2 whilst suffering the same handicaps as we did?

Indeed. We are still re-building and it might take another season on our budget.

It might take longer than that, a very good Ian Greaves side needed 3 attempts to crack promotion & they had more about them.

And then there's Plymouth who are 14 points above Derby on a similar budget to Bolton. It can be be done if managed well enough

Plymouth haven't had to recover from where we were a couple of years ago though.

Nathan Blake and his big arse wouldn't get away with his patented back in to the defender and turn technique these days

Get the ball to him & it would stick, he'd win his fair share of fouls too. It comes back far too easily when played into Charles.

Shows our level. Not quite good enough against the better teams.

They’re better than us and far more clinical, we wouldn’t score the 2 goals they have. We’ll be in the play offs but we’re not one of the 3 best teams in this league.

Is where I'm at with it.... I think Nlundulu & Shoretire will improve us but I'd give anything for a Nathan Blake type up top, we're far too lightweight.
