  1. If you have time ... Watch Peter Santenello's channel on YouTube. A great insight to those living in USA and how things have changed. He covers a lot of US states and cities and interviews a wide range of people from different backgrounds.
  2. Thanks NIC ... appreciated. Think my problem is others not realising how good they've got it. Always moaning and things not good enough. Us Brits have it easy than most. We're a welcoming bunch but nothing is good enough for those in need or not enough can be done for those wanting more. Can't be arsed anymore. Look after yourself and other close. That's all that matters.
  3. Maybe I'll start a nonsense woe is me thread for that. Once you see past the lines ... you'll realise you've been done.
  4. Two Telegraph posts are behind Paywalls? Anyway ... the links provided are a good source of information that shows how homelessness is on the rise in US.
  5. Interesting. https://apnews.com/article/9c5b1005f064474f9a0825ab84a16e91
  6. Exactly that Yes. Especially those with pink hair.
  7. A mixture of his policies have led to the rise in homelessness. Its no surprise that the most affected are in democrat run cities. It's also what he's done to curb the rise. It's not worked. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2023/12/16/homeless-america-biden-increase-record-failed-policy-vote/ https://www.lemonde.fr/en/international/article/2023/10/01/us-democrats-struggle-to-control-spike-in-homelessness-in-western-states_6142263_4.html https://www.telegraph.co.uk/books/what-to-read/san-fransicko-must-read-expose-misery-caused-ultra-liberal-policy/ https://www.heritage.org/progressivism/commentary/6-failures-bidens-presidency-year-2
  8. Absolutely ... The pandering is coming to a end. Great to see so many surrender 🏳. Folk are fed up trying to compromise with the needy. Very little are listening and they've had enough. Only a shame it's taken a few year for others to realise.
  9. Cheers for that mate. Going for the week and pretty much most of what you recommend has been placed on Google maps. 😂 Chosen to go up the Edge Observation Deck but not booked it yet. Got tickets for a Mets game v LAD and also tickets for Back to the Future at winter garden theatre. Seen that Pier 11 the other day. Thinking of getting the ferry to Rockaway beach and maybe the North route past Roosevelt island. Only $4. As you can see from the map. My daughter been doing alot of research and has pinned loads of food places. Most are takeaway or food carts. Wants to try a Bodega. Thinking of getting the ferry over to Dumbo the walking back over Brooklyn Bridge. We'll do the financial district, Stone Street and 9/11 memorial. Seen the Time Out Market and downloaded the app. Is the Friends experience different from what you mentioned? Think the experience ends at the end of April. Also the seen that the Library has some sort of outside viewing area wich will be worth a look. Definitely look into going to some of the parks you mentioned. Lots have been mentioned by others on here the last few months, High Line, McSorleys, Flatiron building etc. All on my map 🙂 Thanks again pal. *The Library with the outside viewing area is the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library.
  10. Like I said .... sooooo good. Tell me why he isn't going to get another term being the best?
  11. Mental isn't it? Unless it's all a load of bollocks. What's more mental is all the black folk voting a racist back in. Even more Mental is they've apparently had it so good under Biden. People are starting to wake up and the divide that was caused by those that want the problem to exist are slowly being ignored by the so called oppressed. It's great to see and hopefully will have a knock on effect here in GB.
  12. Don't you think military training could put them on the straight and narrow? I'm talking youngsters 16 - 21 and not long/old-timers.
  13. First time I'm ever agreeing with Cheesey 🙂
  14. Don't see the problem if trained to a high standard.
  15. So just men then. Blue on Blue would go through the roof.
  16. Aye .. the lad makes up and assumes things to fit his narrative. Got worse in the last few years but it's constant now. Proper chip on his shoulder.
  17. Aye get what you mean. I wouldn't expect them to be sent straight to the front line or on training exercises with those that have chosen it as a career path straight away. They'd be assessed before they were passed to do so. LIke I said ... could be life changing for some. Better than being stuck in prison or a young offenders. Possibly re offending when let time served.
  18. Ah OK ... did say petty crimes though. What's a patriot?
