  1. Just watched the highlights and never a penalty. For our goal it was only when we went behind that we actually loaded the box on any occasions and guess what we scored. Without the penalty it probably plays out a nil nil draw.
  2. After making the trip from the snow the other side of Rochdale I wish I hadn't. With a bit more desire to make things happen we could have won that game. So many times the ball goes into the box and there's not enough White shirts in there and those that are there let things happen rather than shape them. No one was determined to get on the end of things. Gary O'Neill at 35 was immense again and at least looks like he knows what he's doing. What I didn't get about the Connell sub was that it didn't change anything bringing Pritchard on. This was a game we had to win so at that time it was calling for a change of shape or something different. Problem with PP is it's deja vue every game but he seems to expect different results.
  3. Drives me mad that. I moved my season ticket in WSL closer to the half way line when my lad went to Uni to be nearer some of my mates. All I could hear from the row behind all game was 'Doncaster have just equalised' and every other score I didn't give a shit about. Why can't they just watch the effing game in front of them. After 3 games I moved back to where I was before.
  4. Interesting article that - we seem to have plenty of scouts to cover local matches
  5. Riot? There's a job for that lad at The Bolton News
  6. I remember that feeling well. We used to go to The Farmers Arms Darcy Lever before the game and had similar deliberations. More often than not the best part of going to the game was the pub beforehand.
  7. That's pretty much how I saw it.
  8. I don't know how many actually walked round but I watched it as I was arriving and I would say it was a few thousand and a lot more than I thought. It was a few less who gathered outside after the walk round. In a weird way I quite enjoyed watching it. Not heard any sort of chanting before a game at home for ages - took me back a bit - and apart from the moronic Anderson chants there was some general club supporting chants. In the ground I also enjoyed seeing the orange warriors get a little bit back - them guys have no idea how to manage a crowd. Also noticed the police weren't in a hurry to help them out.
  9. Probably not a lot apart from one reasonable stand but what I meant was they have manged to keep their old ground and provided seating capacity of 25k for the prem. Within a relatively short time of us spending £35m on our out of town spaceship the supermarket was empty and railway line remains gone meaning redevelopment would have been possible.
  10. Just back from the game. Annoying thing about today is that we gave them both goals by basic errors by 2 experienced pros who should do better. At the other end there was no one who had the desire to get on the end of things and make things happen in their box. O'Neill was immense seeing as he had just come back from injury. Noone far more comfortable on that side. Ameobi should provide much more than that especially second half. Seen much worse this season and we passed it better than for some time
  11. You're right of course but whenever I see Craven Cottage I always think of what might have been if things had worked out different timing wise. Like others I was at the game but for some reason didn't make the Town Centre
  12. Don't think he could anyway...........the way he keeps cupping his hands to his ears I think he's a little mutt and jeff
  13. Like a lot on here I am pretty tired of all this now. The debate just goes round and round in circles. It's pretty clear no one has an answer to our problems as there isn't one. We are probably still losing money as Ken's business plan was set for higher match revenue. That can only mean more cost cutting. One thing I would say is that for a club that hasn't got a pot to piss in we do seem to waste money. Paying fees for bang average players and can someone tell me what Julian Darby AND Steve Parkin do? Clearly not having any effect whatever it is. There's probably more examples.
  14. Well there's madmen, lunatics and football club chairmen. Seems to me they're both as mad as each other.
  15. After this recent shit storm be interesting to see if Parky can get a performance out of them.
  16. One thing that did cross my mind is that with the transfer window open, it suits FGR very well to get their record goal scorer back to help them with their promotion push without having to look elsewhere. Bit of a conspiracy theory but who knows?
  17. Anyway I'm sure we'll be signing that proven goalscorer that Parky wants any day now so nothing to worry about
  18. Get them on loan then don't pay the parent club...that's the way to go
  19. You would have thought that the stage payments for Doidge would have been written in a contract rather than verbal but who knows? He is also suggesting that we can still sign all 3 players and that they all want to stay!"
  20. if it wasn't for bad luck we'd have no luck at all
  21. For gods sake. Pull the shutters down!
  22. I would say IF it is all true then that should happen
  23. Unfortunately I think you are. As a probable League 1 Club it’s very unlikely
