By the time you've driven to the airport, parked up, fucked and fannied around with check-in, security, boarding and the like you can be nearly there in the car. Car or train any time for me rather than domestic flights. Seems glamorous at the time but the practicalities aren't.

Thailand gets a lot of unfair publicity. Yes its got the sex side (and plenty of it) but the country is simply beautiful and the people are the nicest you could meet. Many who make ill informed comments on places, have never been further than Europe and some have barely left their birth-place. Travel expands your mind and life is short.

Go onto Bangkok addicts, you'll find everything you want there. The place is manic, after 3 or 4 days I've normally had enough. Chiang Mai, Krabi, Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui and Mai Hongson are other options and domestic flights are peanuts. Enjoy.
