  1. For all Dwight Yorke's faults, he wasn't (& still isn't) in the same bell end ball park as Joey Barton was, and yet the Chairman of Fleetwood took a punt on him. I suspect there are plenty of middle aged, white chairmen, who won't take a punt on a black player trying to break into management, let alone one with baggage.
  2. She's excellent isn't she? Baroness Warsi seems like a good egg too. She surely needs to leave that party though.
  3. I paid a fiver for a pint in Reykjavik in 1996. Last summer I paid £8.50 at the MEN arena. Inflation mustn't have hit Scandinavia as hard as it did the rest of Europe.
  4. Richard Lewis gone apparently. Only ever seen him in Curb
  5. Saturday is bound to be the day where our keeper has to come off.
  6. Cogley was excellent the first half of the season. Really good. He's had a dip in form lately but surely that's as a result of him barely getting a break. He was starting in the EFL trophy games we were that short of cover at the time.
  7. Tickets arrived this morning. I felt like punching the postman.
  8. How did our fans react at the final whistle?
  9. Seems at times like we're trying to do some kind of art project while they're just trying to win a football match. Feckin shite
  10. Thank feck. I was thinking I'd been living in a parallel universe reading some interpretations on here. As I saw it, in real time at the game, Santos had to make the challenge. I could see it was tight whether he got there first. Based on the previous hours play, I also knew if the ref was coming down either side of a 50/50 decision, he was going their way. But a sending off too? Get to feck.
  11. I'm glad to be missing this one. 1-3 defeat.
  12. +1. That free kick he gave them came just minutes after CMG had been physically assaulted outside their box and he waved play on. Sheeran gets clattered from behind Ref says "What are you moaning about, I played advantage?" - how about a yellow card ya feckin clown?
  13. Oh aye but it's still the worst I've seen live, that I can remember. I wasn't at the Knight game.
  14. The cup game was so dull, I remember talk on the terrace was how was MotD going to cobble together enough highlights to show it. The Easter league game was grim. We were totally in control that day and should have been 2 or 3 up before a total collapse at the end. Can recall a 1-1 draw in the mid eighties. Midweek. Dave Sutton scored. Also saw a 3-0 gubbing in the Sherpa Van when a young Trevor Sinclair ran riot for them.
  15. Possibly the worst decision I've ever seen given against us. George Tyson was the ref? Fair play to him though for spotting the handball later on.
  16. I was going to say there's still a question mark against this team in the big games - derbies, crucial matches etc but Wembley, Derby and Blackpool at home show we're capable of turning up on the big day. Please, please do so tomorrow 🙏
  17. Aye. You can't move round here for all the rivers of blood running through the streets.
  18. 2 draws may be better than win one, lose one. A point less but keeps the unbeaten run going. Whatever, just don't start slowly on Saturday please. As the cliche has it - Win your physical battles then play your football.
  19. Lee Hendrie on SSN was very impressed and complimentary towards us tonight. If an ex pro with no skin in the game thinks we've played well, that'll do for me.
  20. Poor turnout again from Blackpool fans but fair play, they generate a great atmosphere.
  21. It'll be his agent trying to generate 1 last pay day from someone gullible. I'd have said Derby but he's already burnt his bridges there I think.
  22. Michael Beale found to be promoting Michael Beale from an "anonymous' account.
