  1. Maybe with just a hint of lavender to give them that extra edge ?
  2. Used beetroot in a curry a couple of times to help get the red colour naturally, was suggested by the recipe it wasn't just a pissed up random cookery experiment.
  3. Busy as fuck at the jab centre at Avondale tonight, wife's going to have to walk home in the pissing down rain if they don't crack on because I'm not missing the start of the darts.
  4. Friday: Sleaford Mods Saturday: The Clash Sunday: Rory Gallagher
  5. Churchgate is what Bears Paw was, its facing Scythe.
  6. About 4 1/2 stone to lose I reckon so I'm in the sorting my shit out camp as well.
  7. Watched The Silent Sea on Netflix, not one to trouble yourself with.
  8. Never had a dog (yet) but there's some well looked after and bonny ones been posted up, love a dog pic.
  9. Banging head this morning, must be that COVID thing I keep hearing about. 🙄
  10. Kin elll lads, I’m way too deep in the drink, I don’t want to give any spoilers and get banned from the competition, but ………
  11. Madness The Fall Half Man Half Biscuit Lou Reed Warren Zevon Johnny Cash Rory Gallagher Johnny Winter Stone Roses Rob Hubbard Top ten that will probably be different tomorrow but all changed things in a big or small way.
  12. The only thing I came away from it with is that I thought Streep was more attractive than I used to. She has a resemblance to my s-I-l though so instinctively you feel sexually attracted to them.
  13. Favvers Richard Attenborough playing Christie in 10 Rillington Place.
  14. Any road, darts. Comes in for a lot of criticism and in all honesty I can see it from that point of view. But. Get yourself a tape measure and mark out 7 foot 9 inches and a quarter from that wall. Imagine 3000 people paying to stand behind those 7’9 1/4” to watch you throw a small arrow. Then try to tell yourself that magic doesn’t exist.
  15. It's 100k for getting to the semis. I'd have stayed in a small room on my own over Xmas with nothing but 8 Pot Noodles to keep me company if I thought I was in with a shout.
  16. Watched The Deer Hunter again the other day, it's on iPlayer and my eldest lad likes to watch "the classics" and hadn't seen it before. He described it as massively overrated which I found it hard to argue with, sure I thought the sun shone out of its arsehole when I was a film wanker back in the day.
  17. There's no way he remembers any game he's ever played in.
  18. The virus only exists to copy itself. It isn't brilliant at copying itself so it often makes mistakes, the copy with a mistake is a mutation. The mutation can be positive/negative/neutral for the virus. The virus never stops mutating unless it no longer exists. When the mutation is positive then that version will have more success in copying itself and that version will become settled. This happens about every 10-12 days with COVID. If a virus kills the host it is in then it won't be around to copy itself so versions that are less harmful to the host tend to become dominant over time because they are the ones still around to copy themselves. If the host isn't passive then the environment the virus is in may be altered and this can make it more likely that mutations with certain qualities dominate over others. We have our immune system which does this and we can also use vaccines to try to make this happen. Using vaccines we are basically trying to put some pressure on the virus to evolve in a certain way, leaving more manageable mutations as the dominant strains. It's all about using environmental factors to influence evolution driven by natural selection. Or summat like that.
  19. Second Dutchman to have to withdraw and Barney also positive after his defeat. Circle jerk night in the Dutch camp backfiring dramatically.
  20. Speaking of Tennant, watched the first 2 eps of Around The World In 80 Days yesterday and enjoyed it.
