If you're on about the Ray Winston/Phil Daniels film it's still as tough and uncompromising 40 years after it was made.
Not sure what to make of the BBC play though
It's just one of those films that only gets shown every so often, like Thunderbolt And Lightfoot, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, Vanishing Point, Point Blank, Prime Cut etc, nothing really controversial about any of them
Good shout, years since I've seen that film though. The Blues Brothers had a decent car chase in it too and at the time I think it was the most expensive and destructive ever filmed.
Scorpio may have been a cunt but what a cunt, people are still talking about Andy Robinson's brilliant performance 50 years after the movie was made.
The next major film he starred in is worth checking out too, Charley Varrick, where he and Walter Matthau rob a bank that holds money belonging to the mob
Watched Dirty Harry on TV last night and was annoyed that it was cut to pieces for political correctness reasons, apparently Scorpio wanted to kill just a Catholic priest according to his note and Fatso didn't mention the fact that Harry was an equal opportunity hater.
Was it uncut and uncensored?, In this day and age I'd doubt it.
For me along with Airplane, The Naked Gun, The Producers etc, one of THE funniest films ever made.
