It's hardly a great accolade but Parky has been Bolton's best manager since Allardyce.Winning at West Brom on the opening day was almost as shocking as the 5-0 at Leicester given Bolton's meagre budget. One thing that team didn't lack was spine.
Interesting one that,Nice money for Wolves, are the Saudis doing it to get round Premier League Financial Fair Play rules and loan him to Newcastle? Or as well as buying golf, do they have even bigger ambitions to buy the Saudi League the best club teams in world football.
I didn't think Wigan would be liquidated for the sake of a few million while Whelan was alive but now there is a billionaire who i had never heard of to bail them out.Just got to accept they are a club like Blackburn that attract people with more money than Bolton do.
I don't think I've been to Wigan's ground since Megson got beat against ten men. He'd rested the first team a few days earlier to concentrate on that match and they played as though they couldn't be arsed with it
If you went watching Bolton 0 Wigan 4 it isn't fishing to say Wigan have a much better squad than Bolton. If that squad is kept they are going to be a better team
If they keep their squad together I would expect them to win the play offs if they aren't in the top two.The 8 point deduction should go to 12 but their squad is at least than many points better than Bolton's in my opinion.
On the football pitch, Liverpool have been the biggest victims of the Abu Dhabi oil money. It would have been a glorious era for them winning 5 or 6 Premier League titles rather than just the one .It is understandable they aren't chuffed.
I suppose these 200 homes will add another 500 plus to the town centre population which is good for the shops but the town centre is really struggling even compared to some other rough northern towns. Blackpool has still got its Marks and Spencers in town and the laughing stock of 10 years ago Rochdale now has an M and S Foodhall.
It took Leeds 8 years and 16 years to return to the top flight from their last two relegations. If the trend continues and this exile is doubled to 32 years there is a good chance I will be dead the next time Leeds play in the top division.Happy Days
Another example was saying he thought Bolton were the best team in the division and then lost the next match 4-0 at home to Wigan.
The result was no disgrace because Wigan had a team of better players on bigger wages but don't say such a silly thing in the first place
