He's an extremist prick. Even more worrying, there are some even more extreme people in his cabinet. Some of whom want to eradicate more and more Palestinians from their land. Beyond belief that folk try to defend them.

Aye Haven’t seen the evidence that they were involved in the 7th Oct attack, but I assume they were. Bombing consulates are pretty much a no go, though you can see why this would go down as an act of self defence if they got people who may orchestrate another attack against them. Either way they got the people involved &, they dealt with the retaliation. A heavy response in return would be daft. But you’d not put it past the current mob in charge.

Aye There are many protesting in Israel who believe his tactics have been counterproductive in bringing back the hostages. Another forgotten group of hostages in this conflict are the Palestinian prisoners. Israel uses ‘administrative detention’ to hold thousands of prisoners for indefinite periods with no charge or trial. Another violation of international law. Numbers were at a 20 year high pre Oct 7th. Many of these are innocent people. The US will always stand by Israel in situations like this, so they should. It’s their inflammatory tactics & the lack of aid that they’ve been critical of.

Wouldn’t say it was an argument I was making. More making a point for discussion. Interesting one this though. It’s all hypothetical, but could be times where we need to consider if it’s in our best interests to send them back. A terrorist for example, who might be more dangerous to us back home in a regime that supports them or doesn’t monitor their actions. Think it’s about doing it case by case. For every ridiculous case we hear, like rapists being allowed to stay, there are also innocent people who’s appeal prevents them from being sent back to harm.

👍 Yes, let’s see what happens. I agree there may be times it needs to be overruled, just needs to be a balance imo. So the government aren’t overruling everything they disagree with. As the windrush scandal shows, sometimes they get it wrong & need holding to account.
