  1. The reality has to be worse. Not affiliated to Coventry in the slightest but I'm gutted. Can't imagine going through that as a fan. With the one off the bar in extra time as well. Jammy red bastards. VAR shouldn't exist in situations where one side never plays with it.
  2. Could be the first ever sanction by the US on an Israeli military unit. https://www.axios.com/2024/04/20/us-israel-sanctions-idf-west-bank Wonder why the Israeli government aren't putting a stop to it? Instead they've chosen to criticist the sanction.
  3. Couldn't agree more. Depressing nonsense. The choice of language is absolutely awful. But the usual calling for heads and resignations before any learning can be done. What seems to have been missed is that the lad was with a larger group who the officer also referred to. These are an active group who have a history of attending Pro Palestine events and antagonising people. They have a right to do that of course, but they weren't just 'out for a walk after Synagogue'. The officer had a call to make to keep the peace. The group he was with have also been criticised for inventing their own dubious definition of antisemitism, where any criticism of Israel is classed as racist. They've harassed people before & hounded people out of jobs for simply criticising Israel. As the police have said, the majority on these protests are peaceful and not antisemitic. They need to do more to target those peddling conspiracy theories and racist tropes. Which is where I agree with some of the statement above.
  4. Pretty much. You know you’re talking shite when you’ve got those boys all excited.
  5. Do you wank over yourself in the mirror mate?
  6. Forget all the negativity (which I understand) and missed opportunities. Clean slate for the playoffs now. Need to get behind the team and manager 100%. We shouldn't be fearing anyone.
  7. The same language I criticised 👍 Just pointing out the extremist behind the video pal. It's blatantly obvious he was looking for a story, and not just out for a 'walk'.
  8. I've got my head around it fine thanks pal, it's you who missed the important extra detail. No surprises there though 😂 Truth is we don't yet know the full reasons why the copper prevented a group of JNF lads from heading over to the march. Considering there was Jewish people marching alongside the pro Palestinian folk, I think there's a bit more to it. His choice of language was the problem. Good to see you taking a stand against racism though ❤️ Don't let my point of view get in the way.
  9. Glad you're having fun mate When did you think of that one?
  10. If he was with his JNF mates then I assume the copper would have had his suspicions. The video doesn't show us either way. So it'll be up to the copper to state his suspicions, not me 🙂 Fact is he's an extremist with a clear motive to manipulate the story in his favour and play the victim. He's done a good job of it to be fair, it's headline news. Just a bit bonkers that you argue sources aren't important, when the fella posting it tells Palestinians they can't stay in their homes, yet has a meltdown when a copper tells him to keep away.
  11. Aye https://www.itv.com/news/2023-11-09/i-was-terrified-islamophobic-incidents-up-by-600-in-uk-since-hamas-attack There has been a rise in Antisemitic & Islamophobic incidents. Not condoning it, but let's not exaggerate the narrative. My point is the guy in your video has a very clear motive. And can't really complain about antisemitism, whilst being involved in evicting innocent Muslims from their land. Victim my arse.
  12. Anyway - apparently the person who posted the video isn't important in any of this 🙄 As usual, it turns out he is. The guy in the video who the copper is talking to is Gideon Falter, the same guy who goes on to say it is not safe for him in his Twitter speech. Turns out he's the vice chairman of the Jewish National Front. They're actively involved in the evictions of Palestinians in the West Bank and fund the development of the land once Jewish settlers move in. They've donated hundreds of thousands to the CAA. Someone involved in brutally evicting Palestinians from their land, complaining that a copper won't let them go over to a Pro Palestine march. Is there an Irony Meter for this? I'd say considering who the fella is, the copper made a pretty wise decision, despite his offensive choice of language.
  13. That kind of common sense ain’t welcome here. Doesn’t fit the nonsense narrative of London being a multicultural hellhole where Jews can’t go where they want. Best not mention that Jewish groups have been protesting alongside the Palestine marches either.
  14. Questioning the source & their motives ? Calm down lad. Thats too much nuance for some, you’ll hurt their wee heads. EnOuGh is EnOuGh
  15. Bit of a mess they've been making lately. Humza has just been trying to keep things steady. They'll be hit in the next election. Nowhere near as hard as the Tories will though.
  16. So it was your idea then. Every diplomat and ally has been calling for calm and de-escalation. Meanwhile you seem to think hitting Iran back is a good idea... Bonkers.
  17. He's an extremist prick. Even more worrying, there are some even more extreme people in his cabinet. Some of whom want to eradicate more and more Palestinians from their land. Beyond belief that folk try to defend them.
  18. Was this your idea or was it part of the 'interesting take on things' you heard ?
  19. Aye Haven’t seen the evidence that they were involved in the 7th Oct attack, but I assume they were. Bombing consulates are pretty much a no go, though you can see why this would go down as an act of self defence if they got people who may orchestrate another attack against them. Either way they got the people involved &, they dealt with the retaliation. A heavy response in return would be daft. But you’d not put it past the current mob in charge.
  20. Aye There are many protesting in Israel who believe his tactics have been counterproductive in bringing back the hostages. Another forgotten group of hostages in this conflict are the Palestinian prisoners. Israel uses ‘administrative detention’ to hold thousands of prisoners for indefinite periods with no charge or trial. Another violation of international law. Numbers were at a 20 year high pre Oct 7th. Many of these are innocent people. Some have been tortured & abused since the war escalated. https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2023/11/israel-opt-horrifying-cases-of-torture-and-degrading-treatment-of-palestinian-detainees-amid-spike-in-arbitrary-arrests/ The hostage release deal works both ways.
  21. Not at all I was only referring to Iran & Israel in my post 👍
  22. Aye My concern with who’s currently running the shop in Israel. Though I really do think the US will have a big say. They’ve caught those linked to October 7th attacks initially. Defended against the drones too. Mission complete I hope. Hopefully they don’t take it out on kids in Raffa either.
  23. You okay mate? Your window of tolerance seems pretty small these days. You think Netanhayu and his land grabbing coalition are a rational headed alliance? They’re one the most extremist governments Israel has ever had. Not ideal timing really. They got the people responsible in Syria, drones have been dealt with. Let’s leave it & move on now please.
