How good was that?
Yet another (and probably the most impressive) example of Schumacher reacting mid game to completely flip it. Birmingham were genuinely outstanding first 30, and then... it all just changed. I have no idea how it happened - I am no tactician! Thankfully, we've now got someone in charge who IS. Superb, to a man.

Couple of after-work beers in Manchester has me feeling all confident. 2-0, let's have it! COYWM

Rode our luck with some howlers in front of goal for Wrexham, but we had some great chances too. Could have been 5-5 on another day.
Huge credit to Forrester, MOM by miles. Well done to Schumacher for changing it up when we were really struggling. Liked CMG's appearance (barring the shot!) - he was a real nuisance.

It’s just great knowing he’ll change and be flexible if plan A isn’t working.
+1.
Win, lose or draw, the excitement and energy is back. With flexibility, it really feels that no game is over, no matter the 'scoreboard pressure'.

Justice. That was delicious.
Have that, you shithousing, timewasting nobodies.

Best away day of the season, hope the weather stays dry
Having not done it before - why's it so good?
In!

Seems it's going to be a lot harder to get away post-match than it was last week...!
A bouncing Toughsheet under the lights - come onnn! Can't wait 🙂

Huddersfield seem to be trying to convince themselves that our performance and reaction was all about them being a big club. Saturday was all about Bolton Wanderers
That tickled me. It will be a cold day in hell when I look at us beating Huddersfield as the kind of scalp the interviewer alludes to!

Masi, you've been piping on about Evatt needing to get the sack for a *very* long time on this forum.
You've got what you desperately craved. You can even beat your chest and claim you were "right", lucky you!
So, why are you still flogging this dead horse? Either try to have a bit of future-facing positivity like the rest of us are, or jog on back to LaticsSpeyk, there's a good lad.

Proper graft from every single man out there, absolutely incredible.
Looked like an Evatt team were playing in blue and white - all of the ball but absolutely no time to play it. Superb.
I'm so, SO happy.

Oh GET IN!!!!

His agent Toby Lerone tweeted something about it this morning.
🤣
I'd have thought he'd be neither for or against getting his client to join us.
Neutral, in fact.

I don’t want that corrupt old cunt anywhere near our club. We’ve moved on, footballs moved on
I'm glad someone has said it. Big +1 from me.

Miles better than usual, almost like having 3 CMs gives you control of the midfield. Finally, for the first time in months, a sniff of that 'DNA' we've heard so much about.
Disagreed with the Evatt Out shouts at the end of this particular result. One defensive error and a lucky deflection. But, once a fanbase has made its mind up, there's no coming back.
Also, I was impressed with the pace of attacks, when starting without Baxter or Santos. Although I suppose Sheehan coming back helped enable that.

That was a crime against humanity. Don’t think they were actually down either at that point, but their players gave even less of a shit than our bunch of charlatans of the time.
Incredibly, one of the Charlton players that day (Lookman) has just been named African Player of the Year.
Meanwhile, his opposite number that day, Oscar Threlkeld, is ripping it up at the top of National League South with Torquay United. It's a strange game.
In. I'll leave my bedsheet at home.

Should he be sacked? He's fucking a lucky man.

I watched tonight and experienced something I don't recall in almost 3 decades of following us. I found myself wanting a Wanderers game to finish (that we were winning!) so I could watch Forest v Liverpool. I simply couldn't have given a shit if we won or lost a competitive fixture.
I was a big Evatt "happy clapper" for a long time, but I'm now so bored of it. The same players. The same tactic (singular). The same empty platitudes; the same gaslighting excuses.
If he thinks tonight's performance is the DNA of the combo of measured control and shock & awe progressive football he has led in the past 5 years, he is delusional and/or a mentalist. It's like watching paint dry.
Anyway, rabies symptoms include:
- Numbness (me watching that dross)
- Paralysis (our defence to midfield "transition")
- Anxiousness (see above)
- Hallucinations (general passing to the opposition)
- Difficulty breathing (Vic)
Walking down the Manny Road, to see the Rabid Aces.
See you Saturday 😬

No idea how we're winning this, that half was horrible.

A good, competitive, balanced game of football where either side could have won it with dazzling attacking play and resolute defending from both teams... the under 11s 6-a-side game at HT was gripping!
Rest of it was toss.
10/10 to the Rotherham fans on the top right refusing to move for the Technicolour Dreamcoat of stewards at different supervisory levels.

20 years ago today Kevin Nolan scored an injury time winner away at Birmingham.
This was after a run of 10 games without a win, including 6 back to back defeats. They won’t admit it but plenty then wanted Sam out. 3 points from 30.
We finished the season sixth and qualified for Europe.

Ohh, you are a tease.
I'm in - choo choo, steam train to the Championship. No point in doing this otherwise.
(Exeter is a solid boozing city btw 🙃)

I really don't know what you're saying
i just want him to take a pass, in stride, and move it on the floor
He seems incapable
Dont get me wrong, Im convinced we have massive confidence isdues and why should he not be affected
It annoys me that he's always used as the man to play a cross into the box when GT/Schon has inevitably shat themselves and run to the corner flag.
He is a lovely lump of a centre back, a Maguire, a Faye, a Terry, a Jaidi - not someone who is going to deliver a pinpoint ball into the 6 yard box for Collins to tuck away. And yet, we persist in trying to make a purse out of a sow's ear. Just let him defend, ffs.

Oh, for a team trying to play out, johnston is fucking abysmal
He has qualities but hes no 'footballer'
Johnston as a slabhead CB, lovely.
As seemingly the focal point for putting pretty much any cross into the box? Bonkers. Like trying to thread a needle with a sledgehammer.

Pressure, what pressure? Pressure is for scoreboards...
An absolute robbery, but I couldn't give a single shiny shite. This game is about moments, and the incredulous limbs once we realised we'd won it, were fucking awesome. Never mind that we effectively cheered a PA bollocking for racial abuse... what timing! (Whoever in the seats did that, give your head a wobble, you twat)
I'm enjoying a Devon Red or two, and the sleet-battered, quite pretty city. *Almost* as much as I enjoyed the players parking Evattball for 5 minutes and actually wanting to win a game.
10/10 marks to Mrs TM for enabling me to play out.
0/10 for January's credit card statement.

I'm sure they had a little "We're taking the piss...." song about 30 seconds before McAtee bagged.
