How good was that?
Yet another (and probably the most impressive) example of Schumacher reacting mid game to completely flip it. Birmingham were genuinely outstanding first 30, and then... it all just changed. I have no idea how it happened - I am no tactician! Thankfully, we've now got someone in charge who IS. Superb, to a man.

Rode our luck with some howlers in front of goal for Wrexham, but we had some great chances too. Could have been 5-5 on another day.
Huge credit to Forrester, MOM by miles. Well done to Schumacher for changing it up when we were really struggling. Liked CMG's appearance (barring the shot!) - he was a real nuisance.

Miles better than usual, almost like having 3 CMs gives you control of the midfield. Finally, for the first time in months, a sniff of that 'DNA' we've heard so much about.
Disagreed with the Evatt Out shouts at the end of this particular result. One defensive error and a lucky deflection. But, once a fanbase has made its mind up, there's no coming back.
Also, I was impressed with the pace of attacks, when starting without Baxter or Santos. Although I suppose Sheehan coming back helped enable that.

I watched tonight and experienced something I don't recall in almost 3 decades of following us. I found myself wanting a Wanderers game to finish (that we were winning!) so I could watch Forest v Liverpool. I simply couldn't have given a shit if we won or lost a competitive fixture.
I was a big Evatt "happy clapper" for a long time, but I'm now so bored of it. The same players. The same tactic (singular). The same empty platitudes; the same gaslighting excuses.
If he thinks tonight's performance is the DNA of the combo of measured control and shock & awe progressive football he has led in the past 5 years, he is delusional and/or a mentalist. It's like watching paint dry.
Anyway, rabies symptoms include:
- Numbness (me watching that dross)
- Paralysis (our defence to midfield "transition")
- Anxiousness (see above)
- Hallucinations (general passing to the opposition)
- Difficulty breathing (Vic)

A good, competitive, balanced game of football where either side could have won it with dazzling attacking play and resolute defending from both teams... the under 11s 6-a-side game at HT was gripping!
Rest of it was toss.
10/10 to the Rotherham fans on the top right refusing to move for the Technicolour Dreamcoat of stewards at different supervisory levels.

An absolute robbery, but I couldn't give a single shiny shite. This game is about moments, and the incredulous limbs once we realised we'd won it, were fucking awesome. Never mind that we effectively cheered a PA bollocking for racial abuse... what timing! (Whoever in the seats did that, give your head a wobble, you twat)
I'm enjoying a Devon Red or two, and the sleet-battered, quite pretty city. *Almost* as much as I enjoyed the players parking Evattball for 5 minutes and actually wanting to win a game.
10/10 marks to Mrs TM for enabling me to play out.
0/10 for January's credit card statement.
