Fair play that is your view and some are valid....Not sure what his stats/goals are per minute since joining the club
They will be exceptional though again most of his goals came in pre/season cup games and returning with the B team but he certainly has a goal in him
Crozier Duberry is to be enjoyed but he is not on a 4 year deal like gale who impresses more week in week out
Too good at lge1 level to be on the bench.........You can book-mark this for this time next season
Bench doesn't necessarily mean "back up" or "reserve" like it used to though.
With 5 subs in the modern game, there's valid reasons to have someone like Gale on the bench, coming on against a full back who has had to defend Cissoko's stepovers (who won't, like we do, necessarily know that his final ball is poor!)
Would Gale have looked as fantastic yesterday if he had had to run at his man for 90 minutes?

Not a debate. Never looked like a pen. Good decision - ref was superb today IMO.
Can't fault his decision making on fouls at all. Just his want to 'let the game flow' bordered on ridiculous with his/his 4th official's timekeeping.

Its a brilliant win that and we would have taken that scoreline before a wall was kicked all day long.
A second away win of the season - but we know there are niggly question marks in the backs of our minds because of the ten men and the average performance.
Still, six unbeaten in the league and a home game on Saturday that they must win to get pressure on that top two. Still only sixth ... but worth noting a tidy little gap down to seventh and the rest and a game in hand over the chasing pack as well.
Felt like kicking a wall or two... that was poor.
But honestly, could not give a shiny shite. Big 3 points, all that matters. Happy days!

Quite a few on here who need to invest £60 a year with a faceless gentleman from Little Hulton.
What picture loss? 😇

There's nothing about him that is an improvement on Vic.
Bitterly disappointing signing.

Massive point under the circumstances. I dont know what Wilshere changed after our goal but it worked, we barely had a sniff the rest of the game.

Wow. Well, going off this thread, up the piss-boiling Jocks!
Interesting, that as supporters of a club who have prided ourselves on bloodying the noses of more illustrious teams for decades, many of our fanbase seemingly can't let the Scots have their moment in the sun. Fucking good on them, I'm delighted for them. Well done to Josh Sheehan too.
(As an aside, the English anthem is wank. Imaginary deity save the unelected landowner, indeed.)

Gutted for the stalwarts who have been fucked over at such short notice.
Selfishly, if it's a weeknight, I might be able to wangle a little work day at head office in Hitchin and treat myself to a cold, wet December 0-0 in Stev... erm, maybe i'll fire the box up instead 🙃

They’re in the process of building a new link road at the far end of the retail park, aren’t they? Think the aim is to take some pressure off the roads in to Horwich
One traffic grumble I’ve definitely got is that there should be a pedestrian crossing across the northbound motorway junction. Absolute miracle nobody has been killed trying to cross there after a game.
Are they? Is that the little spur off the roundabout near Hitachi, that takes you to a public footpath?
Sounds interesting, but not sure if there's room there, as is... I do wonder if there's anything planned connecting to the new Loco Works estate?
Short term "fix" could be opening the fire engine bollards for match day exit only on Napier Drive, but then... I suppose that just moves the bottleneck onto Chorley New.

Great result, yet another lovely finish late on. He's a magician at this level.
I'm almost more pleased with the defence - barring one free header in the first half, Cardiff didnt really ever look like scoring. Well done lads, back to back wins, what a week!

Make your mind up, its one or the other 😀
I loved those 3 minutes so much (and the replays on loop since!)
I'm 33 and my ticker can't take that every week, never mind the blood pressure of the erm, more experienced parts of our fanbase!!
Really though, it's unsustainable to leave it so late. I dream of an away win where it's wrapped up before the hour!!

Not sure if this one has been posted yet. Got some lovely tenor voices in our fanbase 😁

That was fucking superb. I've got no voice left, and my pal will have a cracking shiner tomorrow after I got rather limby after that second. Sorry 🫠
To whoever returned their ticket after Burton and let me jump in last minute, right behind the goal, thank you. 3 of the best minutes I've ever had at a game. And I do think we deserved it - one way traffic for much of it, chance after chance. Please, from now on, let's just take them a bit earlier!!!
Must say, credit to our support too. Plenty of noise in that second half - a privilege to be part of it, and see it translate on the pitch.
As a side note, that was my first away of the season, and actually, my first since Wigan last season...! Not that I'm usually superstitious, but it now looks like I need to go to Stevenage 😁
Enjoy it, chaps. That was brilliant.

Bipolar Ways in full force.
Piss poor to a man, yes. Are we really getting the knives out on SS? Come off it.

Missed a couple of good chances, and should be ahead, but it's shite.
Is that correct, and a fair summation?
Pretty much what I was gonna type. Northampton have had a couple of decent chances too, these are definitely in "no mugs these lot" territory.

Absolutely not. I sit in WSL to hide from the sun 😉

Anyone under 30 probably views Wigan as our main rivals, due to the frequency of games compared to other local sides.
I'm early 30s and I always had our main rivals as Blackburn, then Wigan. The whole Tranmere thing passed me by, and Burnley didn't register til we pinched Coyle off them.
But, what confirmed it for me was on my stag, when the lads put me in a (very tight) Rovers kit. While they got the bite they wanted, I realised I'd have been absolutely fucking fuming if they put me in a stripey monstrosity with that ridiculous tree/crown logo. Cannot stand them.
Oh go on then...

I didn't sleep well. Proper derby this, for me. No patronising talk of them being tinpot - not today at least.
We know what we'll get from them; hopefully SS will have the lads physically up for this fixture in a way that his predecessor simply couldn't.
Come on you shithousing Whites!
I love being wrong sometimes.
Have a bit of that, you tinpot cunts!
Leagues apart, from start to finish. I think we all needed that - enjoy the Sunday hangovers, gents! 🙂

Far too many sloppy passes today (from both sides actually). Some odd decisions around the box. And a poor defensive lapse yet again puts us under... "scoreboard pressure"(!)
But again, we've found a way to NOT lose. Wonder strike maybe, not fussed - we've gone 7 unbeaten. I'm still positive, the season is long. It's building nicely.
-
SS walked into a club stacked full of weak-as-piss luxury players falling off a cliff after their leader's shed went.
That this is *still* being discussed boggles the mind. Ancelotti wouldn't have took us up coming into that shit show, let alone Schumacher.
That's gone. We're in capable hands - a manager that sees what 18000 fans see and has the tactical nous to adapt, not someone who has disappeared up their own arse because they once took possession football to south Cumbria.
Fuck me.

Someone that's going to guarantee at least 15 - 20 goals this season, you know like Dion.
I'm going to hide under my desk now ready for the incoming bombardment.
Dion is finished.
Getting 750k for him is only bettered by the frankly untouchable £6m for a washing machine. Shame it went into K*n's back pocket.
More than happy with Forss. On the face of it, looks like a very good move.

4 games in what, 10 days? Seeing as much of what we do is based on being fitter than the opposition (so many late goals for tells its own story), I'm not shocked. Add in SS's disappointment/fury with the Mansfield result, plus our failures away from home generally, and this makes sense.
I don't see it as any "bingo machine" bollocks, just astute management of the team over a busy period.
I could be wrong and Doncaster might blow this side away 3-0. But I've got faith from my settee. Enjoy it, if you've gone!
