    I enjoyed this.

Good, I hope it hurt the little no mark twat.

"Ooooo e dunt get those duz e" is particularly sweet after hearing those dim yokshur pricks wax lyrical about their dinosaur tactics all night. Fuck off and enjoy League 1 next year you bitter shitlords.

Cheers. I'd seen something similar but as luck would have it I'm now working in Leeds all day tomorrow. So I could easily go... just not get to the ticket office for 10.

Be reyt. I'll get back to the pub and watch it with a pint or two!

After today, I hope Collins starts. His confidence should be boosted.

Controversial selection on my part- Thomason, Dempsey and Maghoma in midfield. Purely because the best teams seem to nullify Sheehan, and Maghoma will maybe offer a bit more pace on the break- I don't see us having the usual dominance of possession- and if he can still link up with Collins like today, then who knows.

What's the betting he starts Williams 🤔

I'm with you on benching Sheehan for this one.

This pub side, with their duo of Scouse shithouses in the middle (Kane and Connell), would love nothing more than leaving a stud or two in on Sheehan - him getting another soft reactionary yellow, and getting suspended for two games (I believe he's on for a similar punishment to Thomason..?)

See that’s what is great about football, people have different opinions about the game.

i see it completely different to casino and others, we have the ability and talent to have walked this league , but have a stubborn  manager who won’t change and it has cost us to many lost points to win the league, don’t fancy us in the playoffs

You're suggesting we're a gnat's cock off 2nd in spite of Evatt rather than fundamentally because of the culture he's built into the playing side of the club since he walked through the door?

Can't agree with that for a second.

I love your optimism but Derby and Barnsley away are very much bogey fixtures

Just had a look at Barnsley and you're right. Only time I've been over there, we tonked their 10 men...

I'd forgotten our hideous Derby record after a few beers.

    Fuck!

    1983 Bolton v Sheff Weds .

Sheff Weds Ian Bailey stretchered off, Bolton fans sing "You're not going to Highbury" in reference to Sheff Weds upcoming Fa Cup semi final at Arsenal.

Aye, and in the 80s, society still thought that people couldn't love who they wanted and that Golliwogs were OK.

    It's 2024. Move on.

  7. 2nd.

Maybe some will say I'm naive, but for me, if I resign myself to this just being a playoff lottery season, why bother?

We're over the shit horrible bogey fixtures, and we're going up.

  8. Dominate a game, hit with a sucker punch. It was almost written against these shitlords, who've just won their cup final, again. I can't wait for their RL owner to liquidate them.

That was a robbery. One which hurts, and should hurt everyone representing us tonight, but we're by no means out of the promotion race.

Someone said they'd rather see us long ball our way up, like the god awful Barnsley are trying now. Must ask: how's that going for Rotherham since they did it a couple of years back?

We go up when we're ready, and when we do, I want us more like Ipswich than any Yorkshire club that has toe-bunged their way up (and stagnated) in recent memory.

Tonight was a horrible result, and it fucking hurt - but it was not for lack of trying. As one sided a game as youll see. I still believe, at the end of April, we'll look back at tonight as a footnote as we join Portsmouth in the Championship.

Either that, or I'm talking shit and we can employ Mick Fucking McCarthy (are you serious? Christ)

Just got back home from the game. Like the team’s performance, the support felt a bit flat first half. Great in the second half. Fantastic celebrations after the game.

JDB had very little service, but did little to justify his place in the starting line up. Presume he’ll be dropped on Saturday and he probably couldn’t argue.

I love JDB, as many do. But my god he's got so much more to offer when he's coming on in the last 20.

Deserved win in the end. Doesn't matter how we get there; we did. Quietly excited for the derby games.

  10. Big, battling 3 points against another team of horrible shithouses supported by a weak ref. Performance a bit shaky at times but we've done well tonight against a side in form, particularly second half.

If you are one of the handful of people who booed Vic as he came on, you are a monumental twat. Absolutely no need. Especially as he then did a great hold up job for half an hour. Arguably did more than Collins tonight, but hey.

Lovely goal from Bod. About time! 🙂

Think Charles could do with a break, been off form and not hitting the target, however that won't happen.

Can you imagine the uproar if Charles got rested instead of Vic?

I fully agree with you, btw.

  12. I wondered when the 4 at the back shout would come again.

Imagine we did do it. Who sits in front, breaking up play and distributing, i.e. our Rodri, our Rice, our Guimaraes, our Hojberg? I think that's where we'd fall down as none of our current CMs are that kind of player.

And christ, imagine how exposed Rico would be without two other CBs. I love the bloke but he surely isn't good enough to be one of two.

Its a non-starter, for this season at least.

  13. Red all day, stupid tackle. I thought he'd got over that nonsense.

Miracle we're only 1 down at HT, that was a disaster. Says a lot about how good Northampton are that they've not scored 3 or 4.

Ridden it out ... keep the faith we can get back in this.

  14. Glad Evatt has called out our fanbase for howling bloody murder during the difficult period of the 2nd half.

If that was an away game, there would be grumbles, sure, but I'm certain there would be more supportive noises than whatever that mob lynching was. How are the players supposed to reset and focus with thousands of their own "fans" screaming every decision they make?

That cheer for the long ball was up there as one of the most embarrassing moments I've felt as a Wanderer; and that includes the thumping at Accrington. Especially pathetic as said long ball still just gave Barnsley possession.

Coventry signed Mason-Clark from Peterborough for a "substantial undisclosed fee" but loaned him back for the rest of the season

Same for Max Bird - signed by Bristol City but loaned back to Derby

I don't see how this benefits the buying club at all

Why not? Two fairly young players doing well in L1, maybe not ready for the championship but with lots of potential and (or!) a good chance of a sell on fee. And opportunity to develop in L1 further.

We saw Bristol try it with GT in the summer (granted with no loan clause) -makes sense in Jan that championship clubs would do similarly.

*BTW this transfer window has been ace. Until Collins misses a sitter or the West Brom lad gets megged on his 18 yard box, then they can become Jardel and Cid respectively...

    Well excited, not gonna lie.
