It shows that we are doing OK compared with certain (similar) countries and the EU.
The 6th biggest economy in the world 'doing OK' in comparison to global heavyweights such as Slovakia, Bulgaria and Cyprus?
Brilliant lads, we really have Taken Back Control.

Back to the game- interesting interview with Jones.
In particular the last bit where he mentions the discussion between himself, Santos and Thomason.
Could be nowt, but I do find it interesting who thise three are: quite possible that GT is a future captain, and certainly a leader.
I thought this to myself too. Yes, they are the three longest serving but for me, it speaks volumes that one of the youngest players is involved in conversations with the two on-field leaders.
I think we're very lucky to have GT, and he'll be integral to the team in League 1, and higher.

Great post. I know they had a couple of half chances second half but we were picking them off all over the place. Four or five genuinely wouldn’t have flattered us. GT outstanding btw and I just wish Vic would be a bit more selfish sometimes and all of a sudden his stats would look better. His link up play is getting better every week though.
Glad a few have mentioned Vic positively. Thought he looked a different beast to what we've seen from him before.
GT was outstanding, agreed. Thriving slightly further forward.

Huge result, excellent performance across the team.
Only 3rd thanks to Oxford's last minuter... boo, Evatt Out.
Delighted with that, struggling to pick out any real criticisms. Even Dan did a solid impression of a professional footballer!

Best of luck to all of you travelling on our wonderful rail network...
I'm not as optimistic as some on here, but I'm feeling a squeaky 2-1 win. GT to bag again, alongside Dion.

GB News just over two years old and has daily viewing figures which are somewhere around a third of what BBC News get. The latter has had 101 years and splurges loads of your licence money to try to maintain that position.
That is a damning indictment of how unwell this island has become.

Maybe some on here might just watch one of these and realise why many of us view this Tory government as so shit.
Pfft. Sounds like Project Fear to me.
Rishi and Suella and Jacob and Boris and Nigel speak to me as genuine political leaders because they remind me that the real parasites in society are not them, they're in fact those 'orrible forern bastards clinging onto dinghies in the Channel.

Fox and the priest have gone and Boris is in. What Channel is it on again?
Sonewhere high in the double digits.
Similar number to their average daily viewership.

im optimistic that the WhatsApp message reveal that’s promised for next week will trigger a clear out of the filthy, lip curling shitpipes that still infest our government.
Then, a new, fresh and back to basics group of Tories come in, sort it all out and become an option once more.
I admire your optimism, but what on earth makes you think this fresh group of electable Tories exists? Rotten to the core.

The side that Gerrard manages which includes Henderson, Wijnaldhaum, Demari Grey and Moussa Dembele lost at the weekend in front of a whopping 700 crowd
But what's the population of Dammam?

Spineless bastards
...oh wait
Fucking marvellous. Love it.

I'd have said with a goal and an assist, Williams is guaranteed to start... although Iredale did similarly a couple of weeks back and didn't start the next.
Anyway. Evatt still has more than enough trust and credit, for me, to pick a side that will get a result tonight. 2-1, Charles and Sheehan.

Michelle Mone could buy half of Staffordshire now with the cash from the corrupt PPE contract.
I haven't seen a picture of her with a squishy octopus, so she's probably a solid, trustworthy member of society.

To be fair, if he's retired, he's probably older than you as well, so his opinion is more valid.

Cameron Jerome will work his magic on him big influence apparently
I know you're being silly, BUT.
Second half, Jerome was "warming up" on WSL and appeared to be shouting orders at Bod and Dan, like an attacking coach.
If Jerome can actually share some wisdom from his better days, that's not a bad thing to have. If it means he doesn't play, even better!

Vital to not throw that away.
Northampton were the worst side I've seen come here in League 1. If we had been playing anyone else today, we perhaps wouldnt have won... but, you can only play whats in front of you.
Baffled by the Jekyll and Hyde performance, but positive hat on, there's flashes of brilliance in this side. Just wish they'd had the confidence to push on; there was opportunity for a cricket score today.

Agree to an extent, however we do get terrorist attacks by Islamists the world over- and I include them all, as its all "anti" anyone not Muslim- and the world over you don't get Jews committing acts of terror (certainly not in any number that I've heard of).
Even proportionally, zilch is still lower than, small.
Yep, fair.

Yes and no.
Maybe yes in terms of British troops serving in Israel/palestine at the time.
However:
Jewish applies to a people of a given faith.
Palestinian applies to a section of the Muslim community. Expand that equally to all Muslims to match, and simply no.
Also consider not just troops- terrorism is applicable to all- and again different league.
Just to pick up on this (and I think the original point was moot, btw), but you're comparing a global Jewish population of 16m with a global Muslim population of well over 1.5bn!
With around 7.5m Palestinians living in the middle east (including Lebanon, Jordan, etc.), it's probably a more fair comparison.
But as I say (in the grand scheme), it's moot!

Dangerous as well, the locals seemed to sit round one all night where we just continued to have it flowing and topping up. Some serious drinkers in our party who couldn't take hair of the dog till around 6 the next day.
Seconded. I went out with my missus a couple of years back, had a little session in one of the beer halls supping these silly oversized shot glasses of fizz. "Haha, it's like drinking shandy", we ignorantly quipped, as we invited the gigantic waiter / thimble delivery guy to keep swapping our glasses and marking our beer mats (an honesty based system that wouldn't work in the UK!!)
Wham - both battered, both absolutely steaming next day. Underestimate it at your peril.

This incident shows just how fucked the world is. Too many people happy to blame Israel and then too many people happy to blame Hamas. Too many people saying lefties support Hamas/Palestine and too many people saying righties (??) support Israel.
People seem more concerned that their opinion from a week ago is proved correct and others look daft than thinking about the thousands (with and without foreskins) being killed or fucked over by this war.
People can think they are right but let's be honest none of us will really ever know who did what. The say truth is the first victim in war ( or summat like that) and this just highlights it
I have idea who fired whatever it was that hit the hospital but rather than being something that make people think 'what the fuck are we doing here?' It is being used as a spring board to increase the hatred and rhetoric.
It is fucking tragic.
Political discourse, with the assistance of social media, is now completely binary.
No middle ground, no rational analysis - seemingly every person's opinion on everything global is all about their entrenched belief being "right".
It's exhausting even from my Western ivory tower of safety. Meanwhile in this conflict, there are thousands dying, hundreds of thousands physically destitute, and millions in fear for their lives - no matter what side of the fence they live on, or what scripture they read.
But nah, forget the complete breakdown in the human condition caused by a few old men with massive weapons and tiny peckers, it's all about Team X or Team Y being to "blame" while the other is absolved of guilt.
-
Hands up, I didn't go to the game, and I haven't seen any "highlights". (Montenegro is properly lovely, btw gents.)
I understand it was shit, we were done by a team on their big day out, we're too easy to play against, Evatt is stubborn, etc, etc. Fair, I'll take the word of everyone who went.
But fuck me, I am absolutely baffled by the Evatt Out sentiment from some on here. Aye, let's pot a bright young manager trying to emulate the best tactician of the modern era on a beans-on-toast budget. Sure, OK... so who is coming in to rocket us to promotion? I wonder what Nigel Adkins is up to these days? Maybe even Mick McCarthy, because he likes an aggressive DM and loves to "get it in the fucking mixer"?
Bearing in mind the season isn't 1/4 through... it's all a bit fucking knee jerk this. Hey, maybe forget me mentioning Adkins and McCarthy - Pep will be available soon as City lost to Wolves and Arsenal this past week(!) Be reyt.
2 week break, we go again, with some new faces back in contention. Enjoy the ride. We'd be bored if we won every week.
Love,
A holidaying happyclapper

Fits well with the 'neo-Nazi' lie Russia has been peddling since they first went 'liberating' the Donbas in 2014.
An almost-cohesive nuggest of bullshittery from Peskov and his chums; a genuine rarity.
Still the same laughable rhetoric though.
