Nice theory Benny. I’m struggling to see how this alternate bidder is the real deal though. If they were, they should have the deal wrapped up already. I know situations can change but we’ve constantly heard how the administrators have to do right by the creditors. If a bidder came in with plenty of money and were a better prospect than FV, even if they came in late, they should have made this process much faster and simpler.

Perhaps that’s a weakness for FV in this negotiation, while MJ is involved, Ken knows it’ll be hard for them to walk away, so he can keep upping his demands.

Surely if the deal is done as so many people believed it to be, Ken can’t make any changes after its been signed off? If that’s true, and it’s the second time he’s done it, then what’s his motive? He must be stalling for a reason.

Today’s the day

Who’s our bets on, assuming the hotel is decided on tomorrow? FV? Kamani? Some bullshit delay?

Of course, just annoying that if FV get the whole thing, they could’ve been cracking on with it since the club administrators announced the preferred bidder. Yet the hotel has been holding out for someone with more cash for ages and it’s just held everything up and pushed everyone to the limit.

After all the rumours of everyone else it could be, it’s bound to be FV that eventually get us.

On the subject of pity from other fans, all I get at my work is a bunch of half arsed United fans who haven’t got the foggiest about football suffering. Honestly trying to explain administration rules and Bassini to people who gave up going to Old Trafford because of Van Gaal’s boring football... Genuinely have to bite my tongue when I hear them complaining. Met a new lad the other day and asked him who he supports and he said united, and this is very out of character for me with new people but I told him to “fuck off” My good mate says you can’t ALWAYS use the excuse - “Newcastle/Man U fans can’t complain, look at Bolton/Bury.” Its actually become a bit of a meme on twitter, people going as far as “starving Africans can’t complain, look at Bolton/Bury.” And I get it. Every fan wants their club to do well and any level of incompetency or underperformance is frustrating. But it goes beyond that with this experience. Bolton fans’ emotions have been toyed with, purposefully or not, off the back of years of spiralling standards of football. It’s been hard, we’re all fed up and no matter how many times we say “IT NEEDS TO GET DONE”, it’s out of our hands and we’re just left to run through everything in our brains repeatedly processing the same SHITE over and over, refreshing the same pages day to day. Don't know where I’m going with this but please. I want to wake up tomorrow and ask “Az it bin dun?????” and finally get that fucking “YES ITz Bin DuN!!!”

What to believe? 1. FV secure the hotel and club, eventually. 2. Nothing happens until Bassini court case, in which case: 2a) Another adjournment and the circus continues. 2b) Bassini wins and either secures the club and hotel or sues Ken and lets the sale continue. 2c) Ken wins and the sale process continues. 3. Kamani/Backdoor Hotel Group secure the hotel, FV drop out, and thus new group secures the club too. 4. Backdoor Hotel Group secure the hotel and then let the club liquidate and use the land to make a tidy profit. 5. Backdoor Hotel group form some sort of deal with FV. 6. Backdoor hotel group secure the hotel and EDT continues to fund the admin in search of a new purchaser without the hotel attachment. Any other theories? Stelios, Shania don’t count.

Fwiw Nixon has always denied liquidation as being an option and has rubbished claims that someone would want it just to get the land. Whether you believe him or not...

If I’ve read that right two parties have received SPA documents from the hotel administrators. Imagine it’s FV and Kamani? Can only pray that it’s done before the end of the transfer window
