The Nations League is a great idea, but to link it in with Euro qualifying is utter bollocks. As is the decision to raise it to 24 teams. Why couldn't UEFA just leave things as they were?!

    Money. Bigger audience, more sponsors.
World Cup will be 48 teams down the line as well

Question Rudy as you evidently know your stuff. BMI. Decent metric or not always applicable?

use myself and a friend of mine as examples.

im very broad and heavy built always have been and my BMI target weight I’ve not been at since I was 14 years old if it is to be taken literally. I’m overweight now but c3 years ago trained hard and ate well and wasn’t carrying much excess timber and would still have been 2 stone over my BMI recommenced range. That can’t be right?

I also  have a mate who is huge. 19 stone 6ft 2 and built like a tank with arms bigger than my thighs. His BMI has him as morbidly obese. His body fat is sub 10% I believe

Not always applicable, it’s a rough guide IMO to use. But it’s a good starting point if you want to lose weight. And they’re all very subjective, an example would be your mate but also weight lifters,  they have very little body fat but a lot of muscle which, effectively weighs more. But if you put their details into the BMI index they would be obese.
So a starting point I would look at a BMI but then any fitness plan I made would be tailored made to that individual.

I think the NHS now take into consideration activity now before calculating your BMI. I certainly do. I’m 13.6 and 6’1 so I would be overweight, but I’m a massively into my fitness so i would be declared a healthy weight

Looked at this for next Feb. Are you visiting any of the lakes?

I was only there for 3 days and two of them involved work so I didn’t unfortunately. It was a lovely place though, would definitely go back

Going off recent results and the games we have in hand, it’s not going down to the last match of the season, I reckon we can be in in the mix by March and relatively safe mid April.   Our team have only played about eight games together, they’re just about getting used to each other, once we get that proper consistency we’ll be fine.   I love the picture of Sharon celebrating our win on Saturday :)

We’re getting there. All the players looked gutted with the pen miss but the winner was like we had won the league. Where’s the picture from?

Have to admit though - I love watching Serie A.

Aye I enjoy it as well. Used to love Goal Italia on Channel 4, watching Baggio, Viali, Batistuta, Del Piero and the greatest Maldini.
I was at an Atalanta game a few weeks ago, atmosphere was intense to say the least

Thought TAA was shocking, hasn't done his chances any good with that performance.

    He was poor tonight

Barring injuries and suspensions TAA & Chilwell will play every game for their clubs, come the first game of the euros, they’ll be starting full backs
