  1. Gotta call a spade a spade with how drab we were in possession but a tricky match with them coming off a 5-2 win & we matched the other two above us on the night so all is well. Cogley/Dempsey the best performers, them two are clearly the best athletes in the team & make good use of the ball more often than not.
  2. Fuckng great anticipation then by CMG. Shame it took us to go down to 10 to see Collins & CMG who we paid a combined 1M to get a proper chance
  3. Just an absolute shit show from minute one
  4. Sam Hoskins out injured for our game, he was the obvious main danger man for them
  5. Deanu

    Barnsley (H)

De ja vu with the naivety in these so called big matches, not one leader on the pitch
  6. Fair f*cking play to FV & Evatt really have gone for it the past week, seems like we got our #1 targets in every one of the positions we wanted. Ennis is reuniting with his old Argyle boss at Stoke, atleast he won't be playing against us this season for a promotion rival.
  7. If all goes rosey, B.Rovers cash in on him ASAP as he clearly wants a move & they use the funds to bring in a replacement in time who they feel is more suited to the new manager's system. Realistically, a rejection, us looking around for a past it donkey & trying to bring in cover for CB due to needless injuries to key defenders.
  8. Yeah, Mendes didn't do no worse than Morley or Thommo I'd say he did a little more tbh. They we're all relatively poor tonight, the front two ran well but didn't threat much after Jerome missing that one on one early on. Hopefully Santos injury isn't that bad so we can still try get a marquee attacker in tomorrow, Dion's really devoid of confidence atm aswell going through a bad patch.
  9. L2 loan for Matheson hopefully then like Carty, we get a player of real quality who's not the athlete Cogley is but brings in the attributes we were looking for when we wanted that Wilson during the summer. Not too optimistic on the Collins saga, their local journo's trying to make out Charlton & Wrexham are still lurking yet that O'Rourke guy is saying they're not it's strictly just us or nobody this Jan? They're auctioning him off, they'll hold out till deadline day to see if any teams match it from elsewhere & Evatt will be sick of being effed about most likely coming to an impasse. B'Burn can f off, no way is Ennis worth 500k maybe when he was in form at Argyle? He's had a few sub apps, been unfit, history of injuries, clearly unwanted & they obviously regret giving him a 4 year deal.
  10. So much better yesterday, could tell from minute one we meant business & had that extra energy about us. We went from having no midfield in recent games to having all three absolutely boss proceedings, all three were the best players on the pitch by a country mile. JDB & Jerome are no good to bring on when chasing a game but that was an ideal scenario where they do come on & affect the game with getting us up the pitch. Also, finally having a decent bench again it felt like a luxury to have the pace of Mendes, Ogbeta to come on & stretch them even though it waa a small sample size it was great to see they looked very dangerous. Ashworth MOTM, Dempsey close second
  11. Sounds like a similar situation to our Dapo one tbh, both having breakout seasons looking like the bollocks in this league & the following one for whatever reasons have failed to replicate.
  12. Very decent if it's accurate, by all accounts he was meant to be going back to Peterborough
  13. Abysmal game, clearly out on our feet unable to control a game at the minute it's like we're playing without a midfield. Passing is miles off IE standards recently, certainly rid our luck but three points excuses it all. Back three looked intoxicated trying to deal with the aerial balls over the top for most of the game but the two blocks at the end were bits of unbelievable defending. Losing potentially three first teamers is a ball ache especially already needing reinforcements, big week ahead to refuel us within the market
  14. Bod & Jerome are sort of applicable when in front & grinding out the last 20 mins but haven't got a goal in them when chasing the game. Whole team absolute shit from start to finish, worst I've seen our midfield in a long time & no impact what so ever from the bench. On the tired legs malarkey, so have Blackpool who literally played 120 mins vs Forest other night yet have gone to Bristol & put in a proper away performance. The way IE'S been talking recently it sounds like the Ennis deal has gone tits up as well
  15. Dion has to be scoring that
  16. Midfields hardly had a kick, not had one shot this half
  17. First half exactly what was expected, was frustrating but pretty unlucky not to go in ahead at the break with the Vic chance & Morley deflected FK. A lot better second half with more intensity & purpose in our play especially the wing backs who looked a lot more dangerous second half. Like I thought before the game it was the sort of game Paris would be back to his best in (discounting his shooting) he was the one getting on the ball & asking lots of questions of them. On the striker I didn't think Vic was any worse than Dion today, they did a job but nothing special although it is hard when there's 10 compact men just sat in. JDB should be scoring that chance he had too, seemed to pee roll it when he had plenty of time to get good contact & the Jerome one the less said the better. All in all it's been a great period of recovering from our two set backs, onwards & upwards COYWM
  18. I reckon we'll scrape a 1-0 with Vic bagging against his old club but I'm hoping we do a number on these tomorrow, like Morecambe in recent seasons they know how to get under our skin, rattle us & get us off our game. Them being usually organized, stubborn I think it'll be a game for Paris to get on the ball & make things happen.
  19. I remember he had a decent little spell as a RB for us under Lennon, his one & only really good season was in our L1 under Parky where was a was very good along with Morais, Clough, Sammy. After that he never kicked on in the champ but I if I remember rightly he got a bad knee injury first game of our champ return at home to Leeds & after that he just lost his way. All the moves post Bolton have been shite for him too, low end of the barrel L1 player now who'll probs be playing L2 next year.
  20. I agree with the Dempsey vs Barnsley. Yeah, it was against 10 men but it was just blissful the way every pass seemed telepathic, the crowd cheering every pass to then have the composure to stroke it home a special, special goal!
  21. Fleetwood are shite but we made a difficult game due to conditions on a non league ground look very comfortable where we'd have really struggled in the past seasons under the circumstances. Dempsey had a great game, nice individual goal from Dion, Rico bossed it easily & great to see Vic back on the scoresheet. Looking at our league fixtures we should be going on another run now because most of our hard games are at the back end of the season.
  22. Carty going to Donny on loan, decent level for him
  23. Only know of The Strawberry Gardens of accepting away fans as it's a five min walk from the ground, a historic pub that's been turned strictly into a place to just rip off away fans. A pint of line cleaner to make you ill for £6.20, absolutely rancid beer. As for the game being on it's been nothing but thunder/lightning the past few nights in FWD with very heavy downpours if it happens again tonight I'd be shocked at it still being on, very surprised the club has said there's no issues with the pitch. Saying that it'll be their best chance at getting something over us if it's shocking conditions so they'll try their best to get it on you'd expect.
  24. Fully deserved three points, we completely controlled the game & got into tons of promising positions just for erratic end product to make it tighter than it should have. Didn't feel like they carried much threat, where as Pompey's Yengi was bang up for it against Santos I thought Lincoln's attackers sh*t themselves against him & mentally checked out early. Thomason's one of them players who will go far just because he's a sponge constantly working on his game to improve, fair play to the lad he has the right attitude & has stepped up this season.
