  1. That was my concern at the outset, we were probably spoilt by the Trafford loan but he was special.
  2. Looking at the table both sides have similar form and we are 8 goals ahead in the gd stakes. The problem iappears to be motivating this set of players... hopefully the fixture will be the catalyst. I'ĺl be well happy with an away point.
  3. It takes at least a season to bed a goal keeper into a side... the modern coaches seem to think you can just drop one in who has the right statiistics. TSL and Miller needed time.
  4. That's not a seasoned goalie's nose... should be flattened against his face (and have a woodbine stuck under it)
  5. That was a player who WANTED the ball playing against players who wanted a wage
  6. Vale showed us how to score a goal... ss needs to make everyone watch it and then practice until it sinks in
  7. Totally agree... I walk into a bike shop and see all of the killng machines lined up for sale ad you don't need to show a licence before you ride away.. car dealers are probably the same
  8. Yes Where wiĺl the UK position itself?
  9. There are far too many uninsured feral young male drvers out there... I speak from experience holding a green ADI certificate. You can't buy a shotgun without a licence but you can walk into a bike or car shop and walk away with a 200 bhp death machine
  10. I read it in a printed newspaper, its probably on line... "Thihgs Fall Apart" Today's paper is a mass of essays under the banner of "World Without Rules" ... it will keep me entertained all next week. They reckoned the Second Coming was one of the most recognisable poems in the English Language but I'm unconvinced.... Not read it again since Mr Shaw at school made me 🙂
  11. Do you think there will be any insurances involved? Just thinking about the innocents
  12. The Observer this morning postulated we have come to the point of the "Yeats Test". I tend to agree, please take half an hour and study the words
  13. Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert A shape with lion body and the head of a man, A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds. The darkness drops again; but now I know That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
  14. Followed by a police car? Where I live that would be a once in ten year event! If I was pulled over by an actual policeman for speeding I would shake his hand
  15. Probably decided he didnt want to talk to them at half time... he had made his decisons. A bit Phil Brown for me, although probably not as ridiculous
