We live in a cold 300 year old stone house out in the sticks. We turn the central heating off and run the wood burner every night in a big room about 25 ft by 12 ft Get through about 1 cubic metre of logs every month @ £75 Really cosy, dog is in front of the stove chewing a stick as I type. Never bother with cleaning the flue as we burn dried hardwood logs from the local tree surgeon.
