If I lived here I'd be more interested in the bush, so to speak, and what that has to offer over a beach
One of the highlights here was GOMA
In fact most of the highlights for me have been inland
There's more to Oz than beach
Yep. Some of the major city suburbs are further from the coast than say Bolton. In Aussie terms, anyone in the UK is near the beach.

Sydney is ace. Much preferred Manley to Bondi though. Must have been getting the ferry
Yep. Bondi is overrated but the most famous. The ferry ride to Manly when it’s rough is interesting.😊

Can't be far from my brother, not sure exactly where he's living as he's just moved into a new place after splitting up with his missus again. But Randwick and Coogee is his neck of the woods.
It’s an ideal place to live. Close enough to the city but also the beaches. My lad did the Coogee Island swim this morning again. 2.5km. If you get the chance to go, do the Coogee to Bondi coastal walk. 👍

I can only really talk about Sydney but it’s a combination of smaller districts, like small towns with everything within walking distance. Bondi Junction being an example. We stay in Randwick when we go. No car needed as public transport is good. Trouble is, it’s expensive to buy.
I have stayed with friends in the suburbs though which is cheaper to buy/rent and that wouldn’t suit me. For the reasons given above.

I'm currently in Australia
I want to move here
I'm going to find out if I can
Do it. If you have any doubts because of parents, relatives etc. I’ll be happy to give advice. Hated it when mine said he was going but it’s been great for him and we are lucky enough to visit for long periods of time. 👍

Shoulda won that.
6.15 train back was eventful. Plod let everyone on even though it was obvious it was full. Northern Rail said they wouldn’t move unless people got off. No one moved. After 20 min. about 3 got off and plod told the train to move. GMP have become a joke.

Been in there many times. A friend of my lad actually saw the policewoman killing the knife man.

Why does any player ever bother training? Just remove any risk of a training injury, and save all that energy for matchdays ffs.
Ever heard of Paul McGrath?

Lancs. Getting their monies worth out of ‘Garry’ today. 😊

The worrying thing is I'm called by my username more than my real name. I don't mind it so much now.
😊 Same here. The thing is, people call me Bobby. It’s actually pronounced Bowby. I’ve been called worse though. 👍

I picked my username while on Rivals. We had an on going feud with the Tranny's at that time. I thought Rivals was a great idea. Going on any of the other 92 sites and stirring up shit, and visa-versa. That sort of mindless bollox would drive me fucking mad now.
I would like to think that during my time on WWs I've matured. I hope my opinions, and the way I word my posts, are looked upon with some gravitas and respected. Fanny's tits tits tits tits tits......
Last time I saw you, you said you wished you’d picked a different name as people off here would shout your forum name as they didn’t know any different.
My sons got a new dog and called it Shark. That’s ok but when he takes it for a walk on the beaches of Sydney, shouting Shark, Shark! It doesn’t go down well!

He said he used to live across the road from my Uncle on Green Lane. When I discussed it with him, on here, he showed a more normal side to his personality. He said he’d knew him and got on well with him. It’s a small world.
I then called him out for having a communist flag as his avatar and he changed it. I don’t think he was a WUM. Just a clever complex bloke. I hope he’s well. -

Yes. Either that or he used boot polish
Tip. Don’t reply to Cheese. It really isn’t worth the effort. I speak from experience.

Strange though how turnips are so much more expensive than carrots.
Together though, they are the best combination of veg. going. Or is that swede?

Might try that- porridge with blueberries.
Healthier that a teaspoon or so of silver spoon.
Another option. Porridge with grated apple and cinnamon.
You can substitute apple for turnips depending on the time of year.😉 -

Ah, so you just want us to regress to when YOU were young? You need to let it go mate. Grow old gracefully.
Still young at heart. Still able to debate without resorting to personal digs. Still able to debate with intelligence and humour. How about you?

We should revert back to the days when all we ate was potatoes and tripe, maybe a turnip if it's your birthday. Fuck fruit off altogether.
Always had ‘seasonal’ fruit and veg when I was young.
Sorry for your experience.

That sort of defeatist talk will get you nowhere. Where’s your bulldog Dunkirk spirit?
Must be some form of eco greenhouses
Yeh. Made from plastic.

Greenhouses?
and because we’re British innit
Not sure what your point is.
Greenhouses don’t ensure a year round growing environment unless heated by unnatural means.
